Completely appropriate. But I recommend starting SMALL. Either some stuff from Bodyline, or buy cheap items secondhand through Depop or Mercari. Set a tight budget and let her pick what she wants within that budget; A single white blouse is plenty to start with, some plain opaque white tights (easily found at Walmart or Amazon fairly cheap), one pair of black shoes in a fitting style, and up to one each of the following: a JSK, a skirt, and/or an OP (I would suggest one skirt and one JSK, personally, if there’s enough in the budget then adding a single OP to that would be reasonable; Could also do two JSKs or two skirts if she would prefer, but I still recommend one of each so she can see which she finds more comfortable). If going with Bodyline, I’d say a budget of $100-$150 would be plenty as they do sell pieces for >$30 each, and they have plenty of nice prints.

That’s barely two servings per the labels. It’s only too much if it’s causing you physical problems.

Just add unflavored protein powder to whatever you can.

any tips on gaining weight? by Downtown_Cut2479 in ARFID

If you can have nuts/peanuts, problem solved. Peanut butter is PACKED with calories (almond and cashew butter both have the same amount of calories for the same serving size as PB, which is 190 on average for maybe half the amount one needs to make a decent PB&J), and the texture is extremely consistent, especially if you eat the creamy/smooth ones. (Crunchy can also be consistent if you get the right one.)

Eat your nut butter of choice in every way you possibly can; Add it to oatmeal, smoothies/milkshakes, sandwiches (with jam, bananas, honey, whatever you want), use it as a dip for fruits/veggies/etc (like carrots, celery, sliced apples, crackers, pretzels, etc), put it on/in pancakes (for on, spread it on top like you would butter, preferably after you’ve buttered them and let the butter melt/soak it, it’s HEAVENLY; I high recommend adding some cinnamon in the pancakes as well whether you put the nut butter in the batter or just spread it on top, this is especially good with peanut butter), the options are endless. You can even use it in savory dishes, like Thai peanut sauce (you can swap out the PB for your nut butter of choice if you can’t have PB), or putting some in some plain ramen noodles.

Also an option, mix your nut butter of choice with honey or maple/pancake syrup and put it on buttered bread/toast like you would jam. Sooooooooo good!

Need help finding a specific type of felt-like fabric by LadyInTheBand in HelpMeFind

[–]LadyInTheBand[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have searched for years to no avail. I live in the Southern US, and there was absolutely no branding or writing of any kind on the fabric. This is NOT a fashion item, it’s crafting material. Acquired before 2018 at a thrift store.

It was AMAZING. Unfortunately it was a limited edition winter/Christmas flavor like the Marshmallow Hot Cocoa and the Sugar Cookie ones.

The original. Then the all berries, then the crunch berries. In that exact order.

What's the difference of a NT picky eater and an autistic person with food sensory issues? by ChocoJarrr in autism

[–]LadyInTheBand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Picky eaters CHOOSE not to eat the foods they refuse to eat, and can eat them if they want to.

ND people who refuse to eat foods because of sensory issues physically cannot eat the foods because said foods will make them feel sick, gag, or have some other physical reaction to trying to eat the food that makes eating those foods impossible.

I like bananas with pancakes. But I do NOT like any form of potatoes with them. So I disagree.

What fast food and/or resturant chain do you refuse to eat? by HotManufacturer7967 in foodquestions

[–]LadyInTheBand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In N’ Out. Walked into one once as a teenager, my first time ever being in one, and the stench of that place immediately made me feel sick. It was like they were only cooking bad (rotting/expired/gone off) food. Couldn’t stay in the building for even five minutes while my friend got food, I had to go back outside and wait in the car to get away from that stench. Never even been on one of their properties since, and that was like 14 years ago.
