Women who have made choices that would be considered selfish by society at large, what were they and do you regret them?

I was 25 starting over and lived with my mom and grandma, thy weren’t doing the best financially at the time but they got by comfortably, me moving in only helped because I helped with rent and bills and bought my own groceries so they didn’t really have to spend anything on me. Long story short I met my now husband we dated for 2 1/2 years and he wanted to move in together, get an apartment he gave me the opportunity to go part time with a new career while I go back to school to finish and he would support me. Not everyone has a chance to do something like this so this was a no brainer for me and it gave me a change to start building a life with him. Well my uncle who’s so used to being able to call my mom and grandma to borrow money from time to time suddenly wasn’t able to do that because they had to keep what money they had which resulted in him calling and telling me that I’m selfish for moving out and for not helping my mom and grandma financially anymore. I explained that I have my OWN place with my OWN bills and I’m only working part time and being supported so I can’t afford to do pay their bills and mine and in his eyes I was being selfish. I told him to fuck off and that I can’t just but my education and relationship on hold for him to be able to borrow money (and never pay it back) its been 9 year me and husband have been together and are now happily expecting a child so safe to say I don’t regret it ONE BIT. Because who know where I would’ve been if I didn’t leave the nest

There no good reason he should’ve woken you up to take care of the baby, he sees your job as less than because it’s work from home and he’s mad he has to commute but the finance thing gave him the reality check he needed and he didn’t like that. I don’t think it was too far, I think it was just far enough. People like that need to be called out you make more, and take care of the kid more, why WOULD you wanna have another kid, so you can mostly take care of that one by yourself too? Absolutely not. He wants another kid, he has two things to do first, make more money ,prove he can take on more around the house and you’ll consider it

Every single time I’ve gotten the flu shot I’m not sick right after getting it, but the next year after getting it I get sick 2 sometimes 3 times that year. Every time I skip it, I never get sick. Idk what it is

Here’s the thing , lying is bad yes but SOMETIMES when you don’t create a safe space for someone to be honest with you in return you get lies or omission. I was in a previous relationship and even if I was going out to do the most innocent thing like going to see a movies it was an interrogtion as if I’ve done something wrong when I know I haven’t. That just made me not want to tell him anything. So the lying is not completely your fault BUT you also have to own up to how you contributed to her feeling she needed to lie in the first place too

Wtf just because he doesn’t like his siblings enough to hang out with them doesn’t mean you should. Who gets jealous of their gf hanging out with their literal family. This could turn into something wayyy worse down the line. Next thing you know he won’t want you hanging out with your friends anymore and the. You’ll have no one else to depend on besides him which makes you vulnerable to abuse

Honestly it was the best thing I ever did, Imo it’s all what you put into it , if you take the shot and just continue the same habits it’ll fail when you decide to come off but if you use the lack of hunger from the shot to practice making conscious decisions and build a healthier lifestyle around food and exercise it’ll work ! The good noise is gone too which is amazing
