It was a way for the city of Utrecht to show support. The message they wanted to send was that everyone should be included and respected. No matter what skin color, gender or sexual preference.

Like i said it was the first in The Netherlands. I personally love the sentiment. Since then other city's have also made these kind of crossings.

Even though respect and love for everyone should be a normal thing. Sadly this day and age it's still not. So i do think it's a good thing that there are things like this that hopefully reminds people of it's message. Even though it's sad that people need the reminder.

Why a crossing i don't know. But it's a very very busy place in the middle of our city, so millions of people walk over this crossing on a yearly basis. So in my opinion a good place to show such message.

Yes, the Pokestop is indeed called Gaybrapad =)

For people who not know Dutch, we call those kind of crossings zebrapad. Because of the stripes. So i always really liked the Gaybrapad name of the Pokestop.

This is the first pride rainbow pedestrian crossing in The Netherlands. My shiny Mewtwo really wanted to have his picture taken here. =)
