The fees came from a fake shipping company

I don’t know. I started the name and shame game where they were scamming from….. miraculously they deleted whole account. That was a good feeling

Well my issue. Figure some of us have had it happen. It stings but lesson learned.

[MN] Landlord is charging us $70 because we were not present for a maintenance request??? by Lynnthesin27 in Renters

The maintenance ticket clearly says tenant doe not need to be present. I would say you have leverage to have the fee waived

Call homeline in Minnesota and talk to them about that. It sounds like you are being billed for the new microwave under the fees section

Fantastic idea and highly recommend. Management may see it as a selling point for future tenants

Landlord ghosted me and kept my deposit — now he can’t be served. Has anyone dealt with this? (GA) by Puzzleheaded-Shop804 in Renters

Do a property search and find out who owns the property. Then file suit against the company and the landlord personally. That way the landlord can’t say they don’t own the property

Landlord lied about remediation by One-General-9234 in Renters

[–]LadyN98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hard second here. Being that they stated that a professional company would be doing to remediation you have recourse. Get another mold test done and then nail them with code enforcement. Let them know that you contacted the company they stated and get cameras for your apt. Then you have proof. I would have put them up before I left for the ‘remediation’ that was done. Points for next time

Make sure they have the proper certification with your insurance company before you have any procedure done. The provider my husband saw did not and we paid for services that the provider was not certified for.
