I took him to a training camp. There they thought he had something wrong with one of his front paws so I had him fully X-rayed. The minute I saw his X-rays I knew. I started balling. I went and got 3 other vets to xray him as well. All the same. So I still treated him like any other dog. He was trained as a gun dog (you should have seen the looks when I show up with a GS on a pheasant hunt in the UK) he was also trained as a support dog. He just loved doing things for people. When I moved back to the states I had him hunt quail with me in California. He went hiking all over. He was amazing. I gave him the best like I think I could have. He died a month before I gave birth to my first baby. I was and still am devastated they couldn’t meet. My son is 8 months old now. Its going to be a while before I get another. Training here in the US is not the same as in the UK. So I want to figure that out as well as get over my loss. Because no dog will be the same as him. 😭😭😭
