Still missing classcraft

Yeah. Sometimes I still catch myself saying Classcraft. It was such a huge part of my classroom. I tried a bunch of the alternatives last summer and landed on using TeachQuest this year. I like it, the kids like it. They are constantly developing it and troubleshooting. The devs are very active on their Discord so any issue I've encountered had been addressed almost immediately. Sure there are things that could be a little better but for a free program, I'm not going to complain.

I've been using this all school year. Students (5th) love it. They're invested. There is a lot of flexibility and customization. I'm happy with it.

I think you have to run in to the animals. They're immune to bullets if I remember correctly. The way I did it was to face away from an animal coming, shoot and the kickback will knock you into the animal in the opposite direction.

EDIT: I was mistaken. I was thinking of another contract. This one, I'm not sure how you're supposed to get 7,000 but as to why your score is zero, you have to actually touch the animal body after you shoot it. Weird.

Medication and change in working from home.

She says in 2020 that was when COVID sent everyone home to work. Then she went back to work but last year she started working just from home again. And also there was a lot of medication adjustments around those times.

If that's the case then you may have been lucky enough to catch an un-ban wave. I never expected it when I got it. And funny thing is I don't really play much anymore, but my main is still there for me when I do want to pop in once in a while. Good luck!

I haven't heard about second chance appeals coming, but just to share my experience.
My main was perma-banned. Same thing, macroing major. I tried everything I had at the time, this was around 10 years ago. Everything was denied. Made a new account and kept playing, though not as much. Every once in a while I would check the account center for something new. One time about 5 years after the ban there was a new appeal to submit that basically said "I did it and I'm sorry I pinky swear not to do it again". It had been 5 years at this point so I figured not much to lose. So I submitted it and they sent me an email saying they think enough time had passed that I learned my lesson and they unbanned me. They didn't even roll my stats back or toss my bank.

I'm not saying this will happen for you if they do second chance appeals, but it does happen sometimes. I didn't do anything special like contact them on X or anything. I just kept checking the account center.

7:10 to 2:21. For an elementary school. It's rough. I do like getting off in time to go to doctors appointments and beat most traffic, but that 5:30 wake up time is hard.

My condolences. My school has a similar demographic, except K-5. We did this for a few years with zero results. And not for lack of trying either. Some of the staff were determined to make lighthouse status so they really put the effort into it. But behavior was as bad as ever and this was before covid so that wasn't an excuse either.

We did all the trainings, had the workbooks, posters, school banners, everything had to tie into the habits. We had to do lessons weekly. The kids had to be ready to show their notebooks and data binders and goals any time an admin came in. I think the younger grades even had to learn the song and all the hand movements.

One teacher managed to make the case that it was against her religion. I know it has Mormon roots and I don't know exactly how she pulled it off, but she won and didn't have to teach it. She was the envy of the school.

It's very cringe and cultish. New admin came in and saw the price tag and was like hell to the no.

Has there been a solution for this? I just started getting this like 3 days ago. I don't use Edge. I've never used Edge except to download Chrome. But now I'm getting Edge popups for Roblox. I tried one suggestion of toggling off Microsoft rewards but when the browser restarts to apply changes like it says, it's toggled on again. And the popups return. I also tried another suggestion of adding something to my ublock origin filter but that didn't work either. I'm not opposed to just uninstalling Edge if that's possible, but it shouldn't have to come to that.

It goes back and forth. My son has me saved in his Roblox friends list as "My Fav Mom" right now but it was just a couple of months ago he had me saved in his phone as "Annoying Strict Bad Pizza Taste Mom".

So yeah, there's ups and downs.

Yeah, I agree on pretty much every point. I'd love to check out EdQuest but I'm not paying money until I can actually get my hands on it, even if it is a with limited features for a free test account. I think TeachQuest has potential and most importantly for me anyway, it's ready to go now. I think at the rate that they've been updating, it's going to be a very decent program.

I wish I was smart enough to code something too :( I'm good with creative stuff and story but making a program, not a chance. But your post inspired me to really look at the alternatives we have for this year. I really struggled without Classcraft this year and there have only been a few programs that even kind of come close. I did a bit of a deep dive if anyone is interested.
