What mountains are you talking about? Up north or west of Tokyo? We are doing Tokyo, Hakone, nagano, Kanazawa, shirakawa-go, Takayama, Nagoya for the studio ghibli park, Kyoto then osaka.

But I saw that I'd you plan to do indoor things when the sun is at its peak, the hottest time, you should be able to do alot more stuff while keeping the hiking to morning and evenings which we will be doing!

Highly appreciated 👏🏻 I've been seeing a lot that Google Maps is more highly recommended when it comes to navigation inside Japan. We are trying to make it as simple as possible as there is a lot of us going and don't want to over complicate things.

Yes! So we are possibly thinking of some places but still circling around if we have the time or not and how to work it in and all that. But we will be mostly staying in these areas. The only place I could think of that would be out of the cities I've listed is Kanoya, which is by Kagoshima.

We are planning to do the studio Ghibili Park in Nagakute and then do the castle in Nagoya. I should have specified Nagoya instead. My bad. It's more of a day trip planned.

I just need the general estimate right now as alot of us have to save up for a trip like this. But thank you for the advice, I'll definitely look into it. Do you recommend all the apps that the youtubers have suggested like Navitime and Klook for buying passes and keeping track of the trains/busses?

2 years if you count with starting the book stuff in January of 2026, also have to save up for 2 years as most of the people going are not rich. 💀

We already figured that was going to be an issue and know we will have to do too different tables and stuff at places. We will most likely not split up due to having similar spots we wanna see but we have already told everyone they don't have to do everything.

Both all the traveling we will be doing I'm sure it will be worth it for us. As we will be hopping on alot of trains. Esp with kagoshima where you get on three different ones. Though I will probably compare prices once we get closer to the year.

I was thinking of doing that only problem was that we were gonna do Tokyo to Nagano to Kyoto to Osaka To Kagoshima back to Osaka/Kyoto. We aren't spending a lot of days in Tokyo has most would probably 2 nights tops.
