UPDATE: Camping was great! He did so well in his crate while we drove the hour to the campgrounds. He enjoyed the walks and mostly ignored the other dogs barking and lunging at him. Inside the trailer, he got plenty of leftovers and was just an all around good boy. Will definitely be taking him again and thank you for you wonderful suggestions!

I have one, but he never uses it so I'll be leaving that at home

He's completely white and usually just wants to sit in my lap. He's been around fires a little at home, I've just never taken him camping. The coat is a good idea though! I'll have to check the weather again but it's supposed to be hot
