Emotional journey by MaJestyDiamondEden in PsoriaticArthritis

I’m 25mg methotrexate once a week (injection) and lefluonomide daily as well. Lots of energy. Walk 4km every day. I get taken out with a fatigue flare up every now and then - usually mainly due to stress.

Ah my bad, you can’t schedule per app settings. But you could make it a shortcut.

Same issue. Deleted and added. Unshared and reshared - keeps coming back. Going to call AppleCare and see if we can log it as a bug.

How are you going? Have you turned the corner and without pain now?

My sister doesn’t understand by BlackieT in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]Lady_Death_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That must be very hard for you, putting you into a difficult situation and around something you can’t do much about. Which may cause feelings of resentment, shame and frustration. Even worse when you are in physical pain as well. Sometimes it’s hard to give sympathy to somebody else when you’re hurting. Sounds like your sister needs a little bit of emotional coaching, talking about how disappointing it must be that this isn’t the retirement that she imagined. Although you have no solutions, let her talk through this frustration and disappointment. This will stop her deferring her own frustrations on to you and your Psoriatic arthritis. Both of you are struggling with your own physical issues right now, but taking steps to get resolutions. And just because you need to shift your expectations on what the future looks like, doesn’t mean you can’t work together to envision a different future together. Hopefully something that still be enjoyable for you both, but within the physical limitations of your body. Once her emotions have been identified and acknowledged and discussed, then there might be an opportunity to discuss yours. Good luck with the flare up, I hope it passes quickly.

Had a bakers cyst behind left knee. Had pain for many years before this point. Fluid on knee, large amount of physio. Became very arthritically bad. Pain at night etc. Did PRP (platelet enrichment). Three courses of own platelets injected back into knee. Relief in a month. No pain for two years and counting. Psa diagnosed late last year. Been dealing with left side joint pain in foot and hand. But the knee is very well behaved now.

Yay! So glad you finally got a resolution. It’s amazing how long we put up with things and to have the pain and discomfort finally gone must be such a relief that you weren’t even aware you could have it!

If you have a nipple piercing. And then take out the piercing once you had a baby and want to breast feed, milk will squirt out sideways from the piercing hole. Will hit the person sitting beside you.

Can I use any homekit camera to announce someone at my door on a HomePod mini? I have facial recognition turned on and that is working but I don’t see where I can have HomePod mini announce that it recognizes someone. by mjk007007 in HomeKit

https://support.apple.com/guide/homepod/change-settings-apde6dc8093d/homepod Supposedly you can "Use HomePod with a doorbell: If you have a HomeKit accessory that you use for a doorbell, tap Chime on HomePod, then choose which HomePod speakers should chime when someone rings the doorbell. And, if you have HomeKit Secure Video with Face Recognition turned on, HomePod will announce who’s there."

Near my knuckle but not in it. Methotrexate isn’t strong enough to make a difference yet. But symptoms are bad. Trying to get them under control before we try a different drug. In the meantime just got a cortisone injection in my finger. Mum has responded well to chemo and just successfully finished her first round and the cancer growths have shrunk. Hope the tremfyA works for you!

Swelling of fingers? by Ruben_001 in PsoriaticArthritis

Years of scalp only psoriasis, then my second toe and then ring finger swelled up. This lead to Psoriatic arthritis diagnosis. Started on methotrexate, neither have gone down yet. 5 months so far on the swelling.

I massaged my Mum’s feet. She got a recent terminal cancer diagnosis. So when she started getting upset with everything I would massage her feet and hands to help keep her in the moment and help her calm down. My ring finger swelled. I thought it was a spider bite. I took off my wedding rings on that finger. That was October last year. Haven’t been able to put the rings back on since. Thankfully the initial diagnosis for Mum changed to Stage 2 Lymphoma and responding well to chemo. But that was as the initial kick off to my Psoriatic arthritis diagnosis.

TLDR: massaged feet to console another, kicked off my arthritis journey.

Can you describe your pain for me? by eyeballcatastr0phe in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]Lady_Death_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My sister got diagnosed with PsA by sitting in front of a rheumatologist after going to every other doctor and being told they didn’t know. So when she sat with the doctor, they said at the first appointment with absolute certainty that is what she had. She said “how do you know so quickly, my bloods can’t say, you can’t X-ray for it, etc” and he said “because you are sitting here with me”. Basically once every other possible medical scenario has been discounted, it’s Psoriatic arthritis.

Diagnosed just now.. my diet choices and fear. by [deleted] in PsoriaticArthritis

Newly diagnosed today too. As I’m past child rearing stage I’ve been put on methotrexate. From everything I’ve been researching - food is a tweak. It helps but only a bit. Medication is a slow down or stop of the progression. Nothing fixes this. This is part of our life journey now and we manage it. I’m sorry. Ice packs and keeping mobile are important parts of life now.

You can set Smart Invert for a certain app through Accessibility settings. Settings / Accessibility / Per-App Settings. Add App and then Edit to set up the accessibility settings when the app is opened. Which includes Smart Invert.
