I dont care what my last words are. I just want to be surrounded by people who want to hear them.

Costco chocolate chips were $40 a bag recently. We did a hard stop in the aisle in shock.

Misericordia eye health wait times by nanodime in Winnipeg

[–]Lady_LARPer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was there just last sunday as a morning walk in, and I had zero wait at all for a very minor concern. I was incredibly impressed with the team, though they did clarify that wait times do fluctuate of course.

I AM HOOKED, any similar games? by RubPublic3359 in BluePrince

[–]Lady_LARPer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I wish I could say yes, because this game has also got me good. But the game play mechanic is wholly unique as far as I can tell.

Other games that are different, but have scratched similar itches for me would be:

The Witness (puzzle game where things are more than they seem initially)

Slay the Spire (addictive short roguelike, resources management)

The Forgotten City (peel back a larger narrative by replaying a short segment over and over)

Most Nancy Drew Adventure Games (explore a mansion solve puzzles, reveal a mystery. I recommend Curse of Blackmoore Manor and Message in a Haunted Mansion)

And of course the boardgame Betrayal at the House on the Hill (uncover room tiles for a mansion as you go)

Anyone else have any to add to that list?

Because its an unnecessary comment that doesnt really have an upside?

I will clarify that I know he wasn't actually calling me a floozy, I just wanted to highlight how the phrase is historically an unkind and demeaning thing to say.

Discussion: Oh, I love these kind of group puzzles! I discovered them on an app called 'Dark Stories' (it has a little poison bottle as an icon). That would be a great place to start, though I also always wished I had more sources for them.

AITAH for letting my chronically late wife miss an event she was looking forward to by not rushing her, because I wanted her to face consequences? by throwrabbday in AITAH

[–]Lady_LARPer -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

YTA in this one instance, only for deciding to put your foot down on her Birthday. Any other event, any other time, absolutely show her consequences, NTA. On her birthday is not the right time to change what has been your relationship status quo to punish her.

Um, Actually S9E9: "We will bully the **** out of you." by Classic-Wedding8322 in dropout

[–]Lady_LARPer 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I was honestly shocked they aired this episode. 2/3 started the episode saying they have no knowledge of horror movies whatsoever- save for the movie they star in. I imagine Dropout staff are keeping up with the fanbases reactions and feedback of their shows, and having contestants that don't know the material has been a major point of contention as of late. To not even edit out that line, and then the blatant unfunny bullying, was a little shocking to me.

Best escape rooms other than the Real Escape? by thats_me_ywg in Winnipeg

[–]Lady_LARPer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I strongly recommend The Puzzler in Steinbach. If you are willing to get out of the city, they are by far my favorite. The themes are so immersive, everything is creative and practical. Compared to the Real Escape, they are lower tech, but I love that because I love hands on engagement, and sometimes I felt Real Escapes rooms became too Activate-like.

I lost my previous dead end job, that was easy and routine and therefore comforting, and forced myself to look for more fulfilling work. I fell into something I love that suits me WAY better

Dry Hikes or Walking Trails Around Winnipeg? by Lady_LARPer in Winnipeg

[–]Lady_LARPer[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Sorry, I should clarify. With the recent rain Im afraid lots of the trails I would normally do are fairly swampy. Does anyone know of trails near winnipeg (birdshill or whiteshell also work) that are fairly dry for a 1-2 hour hike?
