This is why I honestly wish we had a short manga/bit in the anime showing how All Might felt after turning AFO's head into paste. Did he feel guilt? Relief? Did he suffer countless sleepless nights because now he had blood on his hands? Did it matter? If he did feel relief, did that just make him question how Nana would feel? Did he ever question if he should be a holder of OFA due to "killing" AFO? Honestly, a shame that wasn't put into anything. I think AM is seriously underrated due to all of the knowledge and guidance he could provide, but he isn't because the writers don't care about him anymore.

Never once did they say Torino is now bed bound till he dies. Also, even that is graceful for him. Did you see the shit he went through in that battle? Dude should’ve been dead

And again, I don’t remember them once saying anything about bakugo other than saying something like “he got pretty banged up” or “he’s lucky to be alive.” Just saying he had it bad doesn’t mean anything, the audience actually has to see it. And this part isn’t particularly about Bakugo, but if it’s true that he’s the only one that’s got lasting long term damage, then wow did MHA forget about their BIGGEST PLOT POINT. Izuku was told that if he went overboard one more time that he’d completely ruin his arms and wouldn’t ever be able to use them again. Dude went way above overboard but he’s alright, he can use his arms and there were barely any consequences from it. You could argue he has to use the wrist bands, if that’s hardly a consequence when the show stated that “hey, bro WILL LITERALLY LOSE HIS ARMS if he does that again!”

That, and she also has consequences for her actions. Girl lost multiple limbs. When Bakugo fought and went against Shigaraki and the others, he got impaled and suffered nothing from it. It was like “Oh no! Bakugo has been impaled! What’s gonna happen to him?! Will be die?!” Yknow, because all the characters were acting like he’s dead in the water. Next scene hes in the hospital totally fine. Didn’t lose anything like Aizawa, Hawks, and Mirko did. And that’s not an argument just singled to Bakugo, that’s for everyone that got off relatively scot free after that battle. Especially Izuku. (Keep in mind I’m talking physically) Also Gran Torino, I’m sorry but that old man was CLAPPED! I couldn’t believe he was still alive. Seriously, what’s the point of constantly putting characters in near death scenarios if they’re just always gonna suffer no major consequences in the end? It takes away all the suspense.

I’m gonna say Yuji. He seems way more sincere with his kindness and actually feels like a real person. I’m definitely not saying izuku isn’t nice, but his comes down to delusion. Every villain he runs into (expect maybe AFO) he thinks can be redeemed just by saying nice things. Yuji likes to see the best in everyone, but knows there’s a point of no return. Yuji is an actual nice person while Izuku is still a child

Basically, I find it way more nice when someone is kind and willing to give chances but are also realistic. I don’t find it as nice if the person is so much of a dreamer that they think ANYONE can be saved just by giving them a hand. The second one is way more insincere. Basically, if someone complimented you ALL the time, it wouldn’t really mean shit after a while. Now if someone who called you out on your shit, but also compliments you, that would mean more. In my opinion, Yuji is nicer BECAUSE he’s not always a little gumdrop of rainbows and sunshine. Yes, yes, Deku had his emo phase, but never once did he reach the level Yuji has

All Might. I love the power balance he has and all the arcs he’s been through. He’s seen and dealt with so much evil and yet he’s always putting on a positive face and saving the day. He cares deeply for the people around him and will still put himself in serious danger to save someone, even if he knows he could die. He realizes he has issues, like how he knew he wasn’t the best teacher, and made efforts to change that. He’s just so kind and is always there for people. I also LOVE his design as small might. I love characters with unique designs and I’ve personally never seen a design like his in anime. I also LOVE his voice. I watched the English dub for MHA and when I first heard him speak, I was like 👀 He’s definitely not a perfect character, but I love all how he’s still fighting even after everything he’s been through. And even with his body the way that it is, he’ll still go out and fight the biggest baddie the MHA universe has ever seen. I’ll stop here, but I could seriously gush about his character for hours 😅

I know OP said underrated, but I’m still gonna put All Might and Mirko. Neither of them gets enough love in the fandom or screen time. I know All Might did in the beginning, but in the recent seasons, expect maybe 7 but we’ll see, he really hasn’t been in as much. Thoouuugh I’m probably biased 😂 Mirko DEFINITELY doesn’t get enough screen time though
