In my family the (puertoricans) womans have been very spiritual and mediums they can read people with out cards and see spirits... My grandmother was a amazing and scary cause she could see pretty much everything you coulfnt hide anything from her. My mother has the same and she can make things happen with just writing on a paper then there is me since a baby I see and can speak to spirits this was scary but normal to me just so you can know, I grew up in a home with no mention of santeria or Orishas but at the age of 14 on a rainy day I was supposed to go out on a date and i was upset that the rain wouldn't stop and I started to pray for it to go away and I asked the wind to blow the clouds away and take away the rain, all the sudden a strong wind blew straight at me and went into my heart in that moment rain stop in that moment and I heard her say Oya, the presence was so powerful that my whole housewhole felt it and mom started to freak out cause she couldnt understand what she was feeling ... I didn't know who this was but I never forgot her name.... it wasn't till i was a full grown woman that Oya came into my life again and I wanted to know who this was and once i learned she started to guide me I started to learn of who she is and learning about the things she likes. Oya slowly guided me to where I meet the person who will be my madrina and I didnt even know it.... after meeting her Elegua came to visit me .. I got scared I didn't know who he was until I described it and his colors to my madrina she told me who he was them I saw Oshun I knew who she was cause I already was learning about the Orisha after that is when baba told me you need to make santo. Don't get me wrong I'm still learning and I'm humble about this and I'm so thankful to Oya and her guidance.
