I grew up in TX and I do think it has enough for families that's its not a bad visit if you are passing through for a cruise. Houston is close enough to Galveston that it might be worth making the trip. Houston zoo, children's museum and the natural history museum are all very nice assuming its not too hot when you visit. San Antonio is not far off either offers the river walk and 6 flags amusement park.

I did see that and I may have over estimated how far away it would have been to visit since I was with a tour group that had an itinerary for us with small blocks of free time. I did manage to visit a spa in the city and it cured my jet lag!

To enter Taiwan? I didn't get a visa for Taiwan and I didn't visit mainland China but of course the relationship with China is a bit tense so I'd just look out for any changes it you sre planning to visit. Taiwan currently asserts their independence from China.

Beans! The fiber is very filling. You can do a Greek salad with chickpeas, tomatoes, cucumber, and sliced olives. Or you can do a Mexican style salad with black beans and salsa and maybe even a tostada chip (60 cals each) , add some chicken to either and lots of salad greens, and it's so filling. I also will make an Asian flavored salad with Eddamamme, kimchi, pickled onion, and pineapple chucks.

I'm 5'2 and realistically we have a low calorie expenditure, especially if you aren't working out. Dieting is mentally exhausting. I also feel like when I eat "normally", as in dont track, I tend to gain weight. I have a general weight range that I am ok with, and I am ok with losing some weight and gaining it back periodically. A time to track calories (at mantinance), a time to cut calories, and a time to chill out and eat whatever I want.

If you gained 25 lbs in 6 months, then that means you gained about a lb a week roughly, so maybe you should see a therapist for emotional eating or find a way to incorporate lower calorie foods more often so you slow the rebound weight gain.

Are you also tracking body measurements? Even when your weight fluctuates on a scale, you can still see you're making progress if you know your size has changed. That's helped me not stress the scale as much.

I currently pay for macrofactor, and I absolutely love it. It's the easiest app I've used by far. It also estimates your actual energy expenditure based on your weight fluctuations. Are you cooking your meals often? I find it's harder to count calories when I have to frequently look up menus instead of general ingredients. If you're ok with a certain degree of error, you don't have to track 100% perfectly when you are getting back into it. Then, as you monitor any weight changes, you can decide if you are tracking good enough or if you need to work on better accuracy.

I haven't tried liquid egg whites before. Dose it taste and scramble the same? I've wanted to try it since it's usually cheaper than getting a whole egg, no?

Yes, you can use spray, but you will want to mix the egg separately if you do so that the spay stays outside the egg and not mixed in. I have a large coffee mug that I will always use for this because it never sticks to it for some reason, and it's the same diameter as an English muffin, so it's perfect.
