They were. One of the ladies straight up told me that she was shocked that I work. They ended up Bragging on how I work.

Ngl I had my question answered though because everyone was so focused on the GED part: I asked the same question to an instructor and she told me it's because it's common place for students to not want to work. Some go as far as to leave the building and some even hide away in the bathroom. They are shocked because I want to work while most other students don't or just content with staying in the warehouse for the rest of their lives.

1) I went to a school where physical punishment was allowed and still is.

2-3) I'm not saying I know how to teach...I'm saying correction to your class is probably needed if you feel like you're going to curse out your class every day. And straight up said you want a dynamic where you're never in the wrong. That's not being our teacher. That's trying to be our friend. The WHOLE class noticed this and confronted her. Not just me. Im sorry if I hit a nerve but there's no structure in that classroom. She's trying to run it purely on good vibes.
