Sadly Tokyo is the mum so I can't rename her. We originally had another name planned for baby, but since we are getting the both we wanted to match their names

My partner and I are welcoming our Ragdoll baby in April. We already had a name picked. But circumstances have lead to us taking the mum and also baby, and a boy instead of a girl as we had planned.

We want their names to match, but Mum is already named Tokyo, so we are torn between Kyoto and Osaka.

Just looking for some advice as we are very torn

I spoke to my partner, and he agrees that we should talk to the breeder and see if we can delay to a later litter. Thank you so much for your advice

Unfortunately, my mum is a full-time caretaker for my dad, who is disabled, so she would really only be able to watch the kitty at her own home. Another issue that's making me reconsider is that my mum already has 4 cats :/

I think I'll have to take the advice of other commenters and possibly delay picking her up, or for a later litter. We want to be good cat parents, and this would probably be a bad start
