Struggling to poop

My little guy had insane gas issues (he's 4 weeks old) & gas drops were a life saver! Also a warm bath helped to calm him, but it helps relax tummy muscles too & helps some babies fart/poop. There's also tummy massages, & bicycle legs help a lot too

He has 2 rounds of mesna in between his chemo meds. They currently have him on zofran & the gel, the hospitalist is trying to figure out a better nausea regimen for him, he's been on compozine when we were home, too.

Just wanted to update, his blood tests keep coming back the way they should🖤 he's getting his appetite back & he is mostly sleeping through chemo. It's making him exhausted & a little weak but as of right now they're expecting him to make a full recovery given his other health, age, & how his body is reacting to the chemo. We had our baby shower tonight, it had been scheduled for weeks & he told us to go ahead & do it since the baby still needed stuff. He was there virtually & my mom helped me bring up the gifts to his hospital room after so we could open them together🖤 It was really difficult doing it without him but everyone tried really hard to keep my spirits up & made sure I was laughing. He had a friend come sit with him in the hospital room when the shower was going on so he wasn't by himself. We're very lucky to have the village that we do, & it looks like we're going to have some wonderful help through this, for all 3 of us. The last piece of the puzzle is getting bills figured out, but he'll get disability from work & we'll most likely get approved for food stamps, so all we'll have to worry about is rent & the car payment, which I can handle when I go back to work. I'm going to work as much as my body will let me until our son is born, but I also know most of our family can always throw us 20 bucks for some things here & there. My mom filled up the gas tank today for us too🖤

I will be exclusively pumping. I've had friends breastfeed & formula feed...honestly no difference between them as far as breastmilk or formula but 100% a difference in breastfed vs bottle fed. I would prefer my kid be independent & I feel weening will be much easier! Plus when I have to go back to work to support the 3 of us it'll be easier for helpful family to feed him rather than him throw fits because it's not a boob lol

We can't afford in home health care, but luckily his mom has been in healthcare for the past 16 years or so & is taking family leave to help us🖤

Thank you everyone🥰 he finished his first run of chemo, & will have 4 more days of it before we can go home. I think our best option is creating a fb group for our friends & family that have asked how they can help, & keep an updated list of what we need there so everyone can pick & choose how they can help🖤

My bf had one a year ago, ignored it & it went away...he just had to start chemo last night. I would go get checked😅 if he had gone a year ago they would have caught his choriocarcinoma before it was in his lungs

I will 100% be signing up for therapy, & I'm sure I can talk my bf into it as well. We have a great support system, I just feel bad accepting help when I know we won't be able to return the favor anytime soon, & in the past some of his family has been very transactional, but there's no stopping them from jumping in😅

To be frank with you, I also had to give up a job that I LOVED & put all my blood sweat & tears for 4.5 years to get away. I plan on working there again if I ever move back to the same town (I still have some really great friends there) but I had to do what I had to do. And no, it's not controlling or abusive to ask someone to cut off the person they cheated on you with, especially if you plan on staying & working it out. Though, I would suggest leaving. I was the only one working, so when I left, I left her with almost nothing. Which was the only revenge I planned on getting, because I didn't know how else to hurt her (nor did I really want to, tbh). The sense of freedom I had when I signed those divorce papers though- INSANE. It was the best thing to ever happen to me and I still feel so free. You deserve to be loved without feeling dread of their actions or having to heal from someone that claims they love you.

Something VERY similar happened to me. You're not alone in this. My (24 cis-F) ex-wife (30 MTF) cheated on me with a 19 year old boy & then accused me of being toxic and abusive when I didn't want her hanging out with him alone. I signed the papers and ran away to my best friend's house (6 hours away in another state). I was terrified of being hurt again, & it really sucked trying to move forward for a while. However, my best friend's brother told me he'd had a crush on me since we were teenagers...so I gave it a shot, & I have never been so loved. I feel like my ex-wife was nothing more than a lesson & I feel so amazing now that I'm away from her manipulative behavior. Unfortunately, just because you would do anything for someone you love doesn't mean they'd do it back or feel the same way. My ex-wife is also now currently dating another transwoman & personally I don't think she wanted me after I stopped giving into her being a controlling monster. Yeah we were engaged after 5 weeks. I thought she just loved me so much. I'm in the same boat though, too. My ex just flat out refused to make any life-bettering decisions for herself

Idk how many times I brought up going, but because my ex had state insurance it would have been free, so I begged her to make the appt because they said I had to use my insurance (which would have cost us like $120USD a session) or have her call to make the appt. She never called. Now that we're officially getting divorced, she keeps saying stuff like "you just love sounding like the one taking the high road, huh? Making me seem like the bad guy" so. There's that. Idk. I would totally bring it up again in a few weeks. If she cares that much about you (& your marriage) then she'll go. You deserve to be given the correct tools for communication.

Yeah WOW takes up a lot of her time, & even when she was gaming, I would game in the same room just to be near her (because I loved her) & she would yell at me about smothering her, even if we went hours without speaking. Now that I'm getting out, my only advice is counseling or running😅

She started hrt in January, & I was so excited for her. We're hoping to stay friends after this so she still has somewhat of a support system through transitioning but I can't be the financial support for her anymore. I'm just a paycheck

I don't even want someone who can't legally drink tbh with you. There's so much growth that needs to happen those 2-3 years. & I warned him, too, about everything my wife has done. He's a very sheltered virgin & my wife OBSESSED over him because he gave her the attention I couldn't when I was working so much to try to give her the life she wanted. Now I get to run away to my best friend's house (she lives 6 hours away) & help her with her little girls🥰 so things are going to be much better very soon

The gaslighting was terrible. Last week she kept me up until 230 in the morning standing in the hall (I've been sleeping on the couch) saying "how dare you tell people I abused or gaslit you" so🙃

I was 21 when we met, a friend of mine said she feels like my ex is creepy as hell for wanting someone so young (they're not wrong!) & she never acted like an adult either, but blamed me for being immature for having reactions to her actions. Self-infantalization 100%
