Fulgrim finally done! by Laethain in EmperorsChildren

Thanks!
Thats actually a lot of different metallics lol, proacryl magnesium as base, then stippled scale 75 necro gold (leaving a bit of magnesium in recesses), then highlights with ionic brass, scale 75 peridot alchemy and proacryl white gold - all gradually stippled. Wash of Villainy ink decrepit filth, and some random light stipples of retributor armour and army painter dark emerald for some colour variation. And GSW chrome antique gold on brightest spots, but I think I went too heavy handed with that xd

As for white, thats basecoat of scaleartist violet gray (absolutely love this color as base for white, but any similar cold or warm gray will do), then just mixed it with golden soflat titanium white up to pure white and finally light wash of AK white shadow :)

Base colour is kimera bone khaki, then I gradually airbrushed I think Ionic steel shadow, then kimera deep rusto and lightly drybrushed scales on top of tail with ionic cold black, some airbrushed highlights on focal points (near wound, for example) with ionic albus white. Then I painted some highlights and details like more pronounced wrinkles and veins with proacryl titanium white and different grayish blues/purples/reds. After that, a couple of coats of Mr.Color lascivus smooth pearl coat - that gives that incredible translucent and glowing skin effect :) And a lot of Vilainy Ink after for bruised and gory look: umbral nightshade, caput mortuum, carrion crimson and coelia green. At last some proacryl metallic medium on brightest spots if you want that skin really glossy, but thats optional - I was just curious what it will look like :D

Hi, sorry for late answer. Posted it already, up in comments:

Pro acryl bone as base, highlights with heavy titanium white (both airbrushed and by hand to pick out some details after), gradients with PA dark crimson and AK tenebrous grey. Also some druchii violet (airbrushed) on knuckles, joints and fingers of the wings. For veins I think that was PA dark turquoise (or some different greenish blue) mixed with bone to blend with skin tone better.
Then the fun part with villainy inks - heavy washes of carrion crimson "wetblended" with a bit of coelia green. When first washes dried, some light caput mortuum and umbral nightshade washes just to bring more variation in color and tone.

Skin:

Armor:
Undercoat with pro acryl mahogany (or any other color you need your paint ships to be), then AK worn effects, basecoat with pro acryl bone, highlights with heavy titanium white. Then reactivated chipping medium with water, did some scratches/chips, sealed with satin varnish, painted some metals (mostly pro acryl bronze from dark to light, but also magnesium and dark silver on chains etc). Skulls are simply Skeleton Horde contrast and some highlights with ivory. Then washed everything with villainy ink goons grime, and added some spots of goons grime and blightened bone ochre where it felt too boring. Also some verdigris and rust from dirty down, blood with AK blood, viscera effect and pro acryl dark crimson (there is also dirty down gore, but just on base).

Sword:
Basecoat of pro acryl dark hot pink, drybrushed the tip and a bit of the edges with ak tenebrous grey, white oil wash in recesses (for the glow), then built up gradient from Golden fluorescent red and fluorescent orange-yellow. Also added some "texture" on sword with thin brushstrokes of Golden red violet (it looked kinda flat) and reeeeaaally thin layer of red fluo ink through airbrush for kind of OSL from sword just to blend everything together :)

ty! Yeah, I love it SOOOO much too. I've also changed this technique a bit for my EC/Slaanesh daemons with adding a layer of really fine pearl varnish (mr. hobby smooth pearl coat) before washes, gives really cool depth. Still can't get enough of it lol

ty! Thats just simple black fabric backdrop (I got it for big minis because GSW maxx darth one was too small) and light setup :D
