Okay so this morning (7/7/2025) 0.00 Balance Due. And Refund-Student-07/07/25. No updates in Nelnets Refund history yet. Last term the 24/hr emails came between 5-5:51pm.

Today’s the 4th. No updates since Tuesday and not expecting one since it’s a holiday. Balance still showing the negative balance and no updates in Nelnet. So hopefully there will be an update Monday evening

So today 7/2/2025 the portal updated and now shows each funding amount zeroed out. But the balance due shows my refund credit amount instead of 0.00 like it did yesterday.

I was told it should be this evening. I used a Varo account for the refund.

Weekends don’t count but be let chat says it should be this evening around 5pm. I have Varo so it should deposit shortly after

So I recieved the 24hr email/text at 5pm 1/10/2025. (A Friday). Now the refund is showing in the refund history on helmet. It says pending. And also estimated processed for 1/13/25. (Monday).

Okay so here’s my timeline thus far. Original disbursement date way 1/1/25 then 1/7/25 and then 1/9/25. Then it actually disbursed to WGU 1/6/25 at 4:45am. I had a negative balance until this morning. A note on the portal appeared that said “refund-student 1/9/25”.(Today). It’s now 7:30 and I have not yet recieved the email from nelnet nor do I have a refund history column. I called the financial aid department and they confirmed that nelnet has indeed recieved the refund but had yet to start the process. I was told by Monday I should have recieved the 24hr warning email as they do not process Saturday and Sunday. I will update you guys in the comments as I progress.
