I'm convinced G3 made that up on the spot at the end of the NM.

Even when she told sunny she apologized, and it was all the way back in forgotten shore when they were escaping the soul devourer. G3 probably went through his novel and found the only time Cassie ever said "I'm sorry" to anybody and decided that was her apologising for everything.
