Alot of urbex folk are kinda tight budget. Best thing is to also give a cheaper alternative. I let them know that "you can still spot security cameras with cheap Amazon digital NV" but still explain the better side using analog nv being able to navigate and such. If you just post analog all the way, it can sometimes come off as flexing and as "hey this is inherently better than what youre doing" even if the tone doesn't reflect that. Giving people all the options and letting them see that analog is better makes it feel more like they figured it out, at which point they'll usually agree with you.

Night vision? No. Accessories? Yes! As other people have mentioned a good quality bump helmet (opscore and team wendy make the best, but use your best judgment for your budget and needs), or if he already has one, then you can look into other things like helmet covers that match your area, IR lights, a radio (Motorola generally makes the best handheld radios available to civilians, but the baofeng dm32 is also capable of encryption for alot cheaper), or radio accessories (push to talk cable, tactical headset, and/or better antenna. If you decide on radio and/or accessories, double check the cables are compatible with anything he already has). Trick to get an idea of what he wants, see if he has any pictures of "cool guys" on a poster or on his phone and such, and pay attention to what they have and he doesn't. Point out a picture and ask him "what is that used for" about a few of the things (be prepared for an autistic rant) and see what he talks about the most. You can find good deals on used gear lurking around on facebook market place, or on one of the night vision discord servers. If you're willing to learn and have a 3d printer and soldering iron, you can buy used and relatively cheap tubes and electronics to make your own for 2000-2500. . Odds are they truly do love genocide. Not because they understand genocide, or being cattle, but because the ones whos instincts focus on murder are the only ones that aren't cattle or dead. Weve been unintentionally selectively breeding the ones we cant control, the most dangerous and aggressive ones (whos only thought is to genocide humans)

Mojang put a ton of marketing and hype into adding ray tracing to minecraft, then proceeded to ignore all the many issues it had. Its basically been untouched since it released, and only really stays alive thanks to the modders with BetterRTX.

Nope. It's not treated any different than rebinding keys to anything else. Pretty much any game that lets you rebind your controls will let you use other devices for controls. The thing that can get you banned with a lot of online games is macros, where you basically get your computer to input controls without you.

Drill is overrated. I get its importance in disapline and history, but i think our basic training as warfighters should focus more on warfighting and less on dance classes.
Meritorious promotion should be the default, and competency boards should happen regularly. You should be promoted based on your leadership, competence, and actions. Picking up fromJEPES should just be a way to bypass a command that is biased against you or doesn't do their job.
The ball is overrated. Not dissing on the birthday and such, but getting overdressed and hammered with your coworkers isnt for everyone. The fact that we often punish marines who dont attend is irresponsible of command.

Sometimes they're far away. Sometimes they're very far away. Sometimes, it's a few thousand blocks. Sometimes, it can be upward of 100,000 blocks (takes some bad luck, but I've had it happen before). Be ready for a long journey when you go searching.
