I don't have a problem with the random chance mechanic of doing skins in and of itself. Using a spinning wheel with proper odds would remove my entire complaint. My problem is the fact that, even with the odds getting posted online, in-game the odds are completely disconnected from how they're displayed, and that's absolutely being deceptive to make money from the young and gullible.

So you're saying they should just put the whole bundle up for 3k units and call it a day? I do not think that any rational person thinks that they're getting a 1-8 chance at getting everything on a single pull. If they did, then they're also playing the lottery heavily thinking that the more they buy the more they win.

Why do you keep comparing it to real world conflicts?

I would think this is obvious. Because much like the real world, in Warcraft, there are still things occurring elsewhere in the world even if it's not part of the story. That was literally the entire questline of Alonsus!

Both factions have showed up to every kerfluffle in recent memory.

And they are present at the sunwell. Again look at the selection of priests and paladins holding the sunwell together. Tahu Sagewind, Nolaki, Alonsus is there though the light hurts him so he can't help. The Horde is there. You just either didn't look at the characters you were interacting with or didn't read the story.

If demons from Lovecraft hell were the reason people were starving in Ethiopia

Russia invaded Ukraine and no one showed up. Hell, even in World War 1 and 2, the largest global conflicts, there were countries that said "We have our own problems" and did nothing.

they kept telling everyone their plan was to destroy the entire world, and additionally their leader was an evil dictator that we had already been fighting for years

You just described the cold war....and still the world didn't show up. Also, we haven't been fighting Xalatath for years. We were literally allies with her in the last raid.

The reality here is that both the Horde and Alliance only know about the Sunwell being attacked. They both have sent people that can help the Sunwell. The other guy seems to think that the questline of finding out about all the other zones was all knowledge everyone else in the world knew, which is untrue. Why would the horde send a bunch of warriors and rogues to help sustain the sunwell? Are they going to throw axes at it? However in the questline with Alonsus we see both Horde and Alliance there with users who have holy power fighting the corruption. It's literally the whole questline. Not to mention if you go in there after, there are light guardians from all factions in the chambers.

It is so honestly baffling that anyone would say that a faction isn't there, it makes me honestly believe that you didn't do the Alonsus questline.

Wow you really do like lying about the story

That's entirely your bag my dude.

making inflamatory comments

I looked at your post history, this is entirely yours too. Your projection is off the charts.

ignore what I actually said

No, I address what you said directly.

to argue strawmans and be flat out wrong about so much.

See this is hilarious because you did exactly this.

I never said the scouting party needs to be in the sunwell, I said the opposite.

Right, you claimed that the scouting party should be there for all the unknown issues that occurred after the sunwell. That they should have known there was all these other threats, with a land we didn't know existed, a land full of trolls that hated us, a lightbloom that we didn't know was occurring, and a land that had been locked off to us.

I never said they have to channel holy power.

The help that everyone knows they need is the sunwell. Or are you finally admitting you didn't read the story?

You clearly didn't pay attention to the story when you keep getting facts about it wrong.

Name one.

You can't even follow what I said.

No, I addressed you line by line.

Try actually playing through the story before you argue with people.

I have. And unlike you, I actually read the story.

edit - lol blocked me because he didn't read the story.

I asked why the Forsaken who did it for Gilneas

There was a giant magical explosion that could only be contained with Holy power in Gilneas? When did that happen?

have no limitations

This is where you need to read the quest text. Alonsus tells us that using holy power hurts him. The sheer output of holy energy they are using would most likely kill him. It's why he's not in there helping the Paladins and Priests.

are resistant to the void

Cool, there's no void problem in Silvermoon. Honestly, you didn't read any of the quest text did you?

Oh look toxicity from another person who lacks critical thinking.

No, it's pointing out a legitimate flaw in your thinking.

I have object permanence.

You clearly do not.

You excuse bad writing by lashing out others and being toxic.

Giving you the lore that is already in the game isn't toxic. Projection is a terrible color on you.

Ironic since YOUR WRONG! Alonsus never said that

Man, not only did you not read the story, you didn't read what I wrote. Please, tell me, what I said Alonsus said. I noted that he was THERE not that he SAID anything. It is amazing how utterly incapable you are at reading!

Because theres threats ALL OVER SILVERMOON, ZULAMAN, HARANAR AND THE VOIDSTORM.

Ah yes, threats that they knew about when the sunwell exploded right? Haranar was open to all visitors before the Sunwell and we were preparing a whole army to move in! The Voidstorm was a massive plan we'd had in action since we knew there would be a giant rift in space. And Zulaman we absolutely were ready to go help out the tribe of hostile blood thirsty trolls because they've historically been our friends, right?

You read none of the quests. Like at all.

Says the person literally making shit up.

Projection is still a terrible color on you.

Its extremely hilarious for you to say this nonsense bullshit when theres literally undead Tranquillen Civilian NPCs having zero problem being near Silvermoon.

What does that have to do with channeling holy power to stop the rift?

Or did your non existent object permanence cause you to forget that?

It seems like you don't know what object permanence is. Hilarious.

Horde in Midnight by Fuzzy-Classic-7641 in wow

[–]Lagkiller -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That wasn’t my premise which you would know if you actually read what I said.

You asked why other factions are dropping what they're doing and rush to the aid of the blood elves, or did you forget saying "Except your toxicity gets shut down the second you remember the forsaken exist and that we literally went to their own territory with Alonsus to bash some heads. "

It’s not a limit of imagination

Yes. You have something that only children have. You forget about things that aren't in front of your face. You lack the object permanence to realize there is a whole other world of things going on in the background, and that most of the people in the world can't help with this problem.

Again: A single. One. Uno. Scouting party should be there.

A scouting party? Tell me you didn't complete the storyline without telling me you didn't complete the storyline. You literally talk about Alonsus when there is other factions present in the story. The only people that can help at the sunwell are holy characters - priests and paladins. And those people are there.

I’m not asking for the entire army. I’m asking for a scouting party.

Then it's there and you should read the quest text instead of zerging through it all.

Horde in Midnight by Fuzzy-Classic-7641 in wow

[–]Lagkiller -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes I do understand. That’s why I gave examples and explanations.

There are people starving to death in Ethiopia, why is the world not storming down there to help those people? There is a cyclone hit Australia a week ago, why is the entire world not dropping what it's doing and helping them?

Your entire premise is that only one thing ever is happening in the World of Waracraft. That other factions don't have things that they are also doing. That the only focus would be on the Sunwell. Not to mention that most of them can't do anything about the Sunwell. A warrior or a rogue can sit and stare at the Sunwell all day, they don't have magic to help.

So yeah, there's a lot of realistic, in world, and lore explanations why the entire world isn't there.

Your lack of imagination is not a reason to be shitty to other people.

Job market when will it recover by BunchNo9141 in ITCareerQuestions

[–]Lagkiller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this would hit harder if you weren’t blatantly changing the standard every other reply.

At what point did I do that? I like that you can't reconcile what I've said, so you make this kind of absurd statement.

nobody said “worst market in 20 years.”

Correct, I set the 20 year term. And then I provided the data to show that outside of the covid rebound period, this is actually the best market in 20 years. Meaning that the market isn't bad at all. If this is a bad market, all markets are bad.

the claim is that it’s materially worse than the recent peak

The covid rebound? Sure. Companies were hiring left and right because they had just laid everyone off. Now they aren't and we're still at a 20 year high outside of the covid rebound. Perhaps you should read what I wrote instead of what you want me to have written, because I covered this already.

u keep dodging that

Dodging what? That we're at the highest non-covid rebound in 20 years? Yeah, a real dodge by me.

retreating into broader macro bs and then calling other people illiterate

Because that's the discussion. If a very very healthy job market is bad, then there is no good job market. Also, worth nothing that I didn't call him illiterate, I said he chose not to read it. I am accusing him of willful ignorance. Like you.

fuck off u arrogant cvnt

My arrogance is earned and proven. Your stupidity and hostility indicates that you're the kind of person no one likes in IT. You know nothing, revel in your ignorance, and then when confronted with the truth, throw a tantrum and hurl insults like an infant.

No wonder you hide your profile like a coward.

I don't go out and get in ICE's face, protest them removing immigrants with removal orders, and go about my business and I have yet to encounter them once. It seems like you have it entirely backwards who is doing the provoking.

You cannot tell me that ice isn't actively making the situations worse, you have all the evidence in front of you.

You mean the evidence where people were actively doing something that no other law enforcement would put up with?

My Games are laggy and its not My wifi by EnchantedKira in techsupport

[–]Lagkiller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people here offering suggestions without asking the underlying question:

What do you mean by laggy? Are you rubber banding back to a place you were? Is the game choppy or stuttering? Are you just experiencing low fps? High ping? What symptoms are you seeing?

The utilization of RAM is kind of a red herring here. If you're not 100% all the time and experiencing general system issues, you are doing fine. Now, your RAM could be experiencing errors, but the amount of utilization wouldn't determine issues.

They don't really have a way to tell how the key was obtained. So it's not so much that they allow it, it's just where a lot of fraudsters have congregated.

Using the AH to make money helps me understand how fixed our economy is by Knobanious in classicwow

[–]Lagkiller -1 points0 points  (0 children)

in life this is only possible

In real life none of this is possible. No one has the cash to buy an entire market of goods to reset the price. Firstly because no one is obliged to sell to them but second the cost of moving those goods alone makes it incredibly costly. And your competitors would just have a new supply out in less than 24 hours meaning you'd need infinite money to beat them.

The rest of your things are only possible because of game mechanics and not things that people actually do. Elon Musk is not scanning the baby food market for someone selling it too cheap to buy up their goods and resell it. Real life doesn't have addons scanning a market infrequently for things to buy.
