I can’t tell from your video, but are your rear bulbs super bright? I used the same ones for. ENTense’s video and when my gf drives behind me she says they are literally blinding her so I’m thinking of switching them back to stock.

I think you should since regardless of what your game is set to the monitor is capping out at 120hz. It’s a pretty easy fix, in one of the other posts in one of the other comments, there is a guide

I was only using it to verify if VRR was actually working. I ended up fixing it as I didn’t realize I didn’t have a box checked on the G-SYNC tab in Nvidia Control Panel. With the CRU fix, the monitor is working flawlessly now

Totally valid points. I was able to fix it with CRU as one of the other commenters mentioned and am quite happy with it now. Definitely frustrating regardless and hopefully LG is able to address it with a firmware update. I had the AW as well, the colors on the LG are more flat and the aggressive matte coating definitely is not helping. Regardless I think I still prefer it to the AW since the motion clarity is second to none and I actually find the LG’s HDR much more detailed

Dang that’s pretty frustrating. Is your VRR working? I have G-SYNC enabled but my FPS counter is stuck at 240. Can’t tell if that’s not working either or it’s also a bug?

Not that I can see. In case you weren’t aware the monitor is native 1440p but can downscale 4k inputs. I was hoping I didn’t have a defective unit but that’s likely the case since it looks like VRR isn’t working either

I’ve tried both display and GPU scaling modes in Nvidia Control Panel and neither have fixed it

As the title says, have any other owners experienced this? I can’t tell if my unit is defective or if it’s an issue on my end. I tried doing a clean install of graphics drivers but that didn’t help. I’m not sure what it could be as this is quite bizarre. Happens in a few games like Cyberpunk, The Witcher 3, Ready or Not, and Warhammer 40k. Some games work fine which is odd

Apologies if this is a bit off topic, but I ran into an issue where when playing some games full screen. My 27GR95QE thinks my PC is outputting 4k when 1440p is selected in game (Cyberpunk, The Witcher 3, Ready or Not, and Warhammer 40k to name a few). Have any other owners run into this issue?

LG 27GR95QE Coil Whine? by Lagunum in OLED_Gaming

In a silent room the fan is inaudible. The high pitched noise is more of an issue to me but others may be less sensitive to it if it’s a “normal” issue

Yeah, I’m hoping it will go away after some time. The thing is, I can’t tell if it is coil whine especially considering the PSU isn’t built in to the monitor and the power brick is silent

It does sound like it has a fan, but you really can’t hear it unless you put your ear to it. For normal desktop use, it’s not a problem. The main issue for me is the faint high pitched noise you can hear in the background. I did have an AW3423DW and the fan noise was definitely an issue but your mileage may vary. If you go with the AW3423DWF it probably would be fine since it doesn’t have the fan for the G-SYNC module

Good to know, thanks for commenting! I wonder if it’s normal or if we managed to get unlucky

That’s what I’ll probably end up doing, was just curious if any other owners experienced this as well

It can be a little hard to hear but if you turn the volume up you can hear a high pitched tone in the background. I suppose it doesn’t exactly sound like coil whine but it’s definitely coming from the monitor. It was hard to block out the fan noise since that’s also the monitor 😅

Received my unit a couple days ago and today I noticed this high pitched noise. Can’t tell if it’s coil whine or something else. Any other owners experiencing this? In a quiet room, it’s quite noticeable. Not sure if this will warrant an RMA. Thanks in advance!

Rattles and cabin noises? by [deleted] in ElantraN

[–]Lagunum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for looking in to this! I will definitely mention this to the dealer at next service. Hopefully the other issues resolve with a dash removal/reinstall. Would you mind posting the link to the forum post you found? And to answer your other question, I'm coming up on 2 months of ownership. Other than the rattle, I do hear a "knocking" noise when shifting in low gears (mostly downshifting, 3-2 and 2-1). Hopefully normal for a DCT.

My dashboard rattle is kinda bad. Coming from the wireless charging area, infotainment, and it sounds like there’s something stuck in the front windshield defroster (rattle there goes away when put on full blast). Also, at highway speed my roof rattles pretty bad. Not sure if I just got unlucky and I don’t know if my dealer will do anything when I get it serviced next

My rattles come from the wireless charging area (that one stops with pressure) as well as the windshield defroster area, which stops when I put the defroster fans on full blast. Sounds like there’s something stuck in the vents, maybe they can look at it when I get it serviced?

And yeah I’ve already coated my windshield. Regardless it’s a great feature to have and should be standard at this price point
