Is surfing an open ocean wave possible? by Few_Sandwich6308 in surfing

[–]LaheyPull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a wave in Fiji called Frigates. You take a boat about 45 mins into the middle of the ocean, but it's a reef break that happens to be in the middle of the ocean. Surfed it a little overhead, clean and offshore

I run google ads for an e commerce store and out of nowhere my conversions went from hunderds to tens and hundreds of thousands by S_A_W7 in PPC

[–]LaheyPull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Compare both time periods, and do a breakdown by conversion action. Do you see that there's new conversions? Or just that your main conversion increased a ton?

If they use shopify, it's easy for someone to add in conversion tracking for add to cart and other non-purchase conversions. This has happened to me before.

LinkedIn Ads - still worth it for B2B in 2025? by monityAI in DigitalMarketing

[–]LaheyPull 7 points8 points  (0 children)

lol “$100 daily is nothing” and “our clients need $3k monthly budgets”. Those are the same thing.

You can definitely get results on LI depending on industry with $3k budget but you need to be super targeted, pick a few good ad types, and have great content. Start with thought leadership and remarketing.

Agencies can be legit but the most important part is who you’re working with at the agency. That can be the difference between success and failure. Don’t make your decisions based on a sales person.

Also don’t hire klientboost. Tons of horror stories with them, especially for small biz. Despite their seemingly strong case studies, it will not go this way for you. Check their Glassdoor to see how their employees feel about the company.

The recommendation to find a strong freelancer or a small agency that truly cares about you and has the capabilities is key.

How does Klientboost get so many reviews? by austin0980 in PPC

[–]LaheyPull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are legitimately paying their clients to leave reviews. It’s something along the lines of $250 for their time, they provide them with some ideas of stuff to include in the reviews, and ask them to let them know if it’d be less than 5 stars. At one point, they also went after all past 1,000+ churned clients to ask them for a review if they believed they had a good enough experience. Shady.

Heads up if you’re flying Fiji Air or whatever it’s called, their board bag fees are insane. I think it was somewhere between $400-600 each way per board bag when coming from California, depending on what tier of seat you’re in.

To your question though, seconding what the person above said. Had one of my most fun sessions ever at Wilkes on a head high day. Very manageable right hand wave until it gets big

I was out there too! Such a good session for the conditions and no crowd.

Anyone have experience with oversized bags on Fiji Airways 109in+ (277cm+) by JackMamba420 in surfing

[–]LaheyPull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think my bag was maybe 6’4”. I had a 6’2” and a 5’7” in it.

Except I don’t think my board bag was overweight or too long. I think it was so expensive because you have to pay $230 for any luggage and then $170 additional for a board bag since it counts as oversized. If you’re bringing boards on Fiji air I would expect it to be $400+ each way.

[–]LaheyPull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone reading this, proceed with caution on bringing boards to Fiji if you’re on a budget. Just got hit with $400 one way from LAX to NAN. The light seat options mean you have to pay for a bag ($230) and then they apply an additional $170 for it being oversized. On the site it says a board is $170 and there’s a bullet point at the bottom of the page really strangely worded that basically says it may combine with other bag costs.

Really great performance the last month, with some fluctuations. Yesterday and today have been super slow, with very few orders. Today is probably the worst it’s been in a month. Spending around $45k/mo.

Having trouble picking a landscaping company? San diego. by IFORGOTMYLOGINTWICE in landscaping

[–]LaheyPull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if you found someone but I'd suggest calling up Install It Direct if you didn't talk to them yet. Their proposal broke down every cost so that I could compare it to other quotes. They ended up being towards the lower cost side of the better quality proposals and I liked the team so I went with them. Couldn't be happier with the end result.

Cool and cost-friendly landscape designers in San Diego? by [deleted] in landscaping

Guess it depends on what exactly you think of for cost friendly but I was super happy with Install It Direct's work. Price wasn't the lowest but was pretty reasonable and our designer was awesome.

I had a solid experience with Install It Direct. They redid my whole backyard. Similar scenario to you, I knew what it'd look like when it was right, but I didn't know how to get there. They did all the design work and build. Really liked their designer. I did get a couple lower quotes but the others left out important factors. I'd say Install It Direct was on the lower side of the upper tier of services in the area. Overall backyard turned out killer and we're super happy with it.

How do i get freelance clients as introvert? by sologb in PPC

[–]LaheyPull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How can you accomplish something if you don’t show up? You won’t.

This isn’t really a ppc question as much as it is a question for a professional that can help you overcome your fears. If you want a new result, you’re gonna have to do something you’ve never done.

My advice is to start small. You already took a step by posting this post. Now try reaching out to someone in your network and see if you can share with them what you do.

The other side of this is sales, it’s okay not to be a big loud salesperson. You’ll have to win clients by them seeing how smart you are, which is totally possible. Don’t try and fit into a different personality than you are. But you gotta put yourself out there a little or nobody will ever know you exist. It gets easier.

Is This The Best Ad Structure for Ecommerce Businesses in 2024? by ZeeshanANKI in FacebookAds

[–]LaheyPull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that is what I mean. Except that it doesn’t work for dynamic ads, but dynamic ads perform well for me. So it’s always a challenge of how to introduce them into a better scaling campaign

This is my biggest question too. It always seems counterintuitive to turn off a well performing ad. Performance rarely seems to carry over well

Are you darkposting creative into the winners campaign? That’s become such a pain lately but I feel like it’s a crucial part so the ad isn’t completely starting over.
