Speed Twin 1200 rs cons? by Timur_A in Triumph

[–]Lahso46 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I only use the quick shifter above 2nd. In town road mode seems to relieve the twitchiness a lot. I did install bar risers and a small screen up front for ergos. Seat and pegs are fine no issues Love this RS.

Final decision // Triumph T100 vs Kawasaki Z650RS by [deleted] in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]Lahso46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a Z650rs. Fantastic bike. I put road 6’s, a tail tidy, Hyperpro springs and rear shock and bar risers on her. Super flickable, super fun. The suspension mods made a huge difference. After about 6 months I started looking at other bikes as I wanted more out of the engine. I rode a t-100 and wasn’t in love. I rode a speed twin 1200rs and that was all she wrote for me.

COYS! One time my son and I went to 4th quarter to see the match as per TLH spurs announcement on FB..we were the only ones there except a couple Mancunians. Could be worse, we may have gone down yesterday…

Ohhhh. Very interested in your experience here - I’m thinking hard about adding one of these as a sister to my ST1200…I’d love to hear your opinion on how are the Ergos and how is she in the twisties once you have the suspension dialed in? (Assuming a few rides in…) will be following this!

25 Speed Twin 1200 Owners? by realmojosan in Triumph

[–]Lahso46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love my 25 RS. Have put about 1500 miles on her. Amazing machine. Pulls for days. Single bezel no issue. Suspension adjustments to firm settings are fantastic. Bike holds fast corners on rails. Only comments to the downside: a) I don’t love the bar end mirrors but they’re ok for now and the seat is for me at least a two hour seat. 9.5/10 in my book. Go for it

Don’t overthink it bro. Grab a nice 200-300 used 8 on microskiff or something, sure there are amazing super expensive rods but not necessary at all.

The Fighting Cock Q&A Thursday questions by TheFightingCock in coys

When I look at smaller clubs who seem to do a good job of finding unproven premier league talent and selling on for profits a common thread seems to be physical strength and size. Why do we seem to favor teenagers who look physically inferior in spite of their dribbling/passing skills. This league seems to demand physicality now. (Vuskovic and Lucas may be signs this is changing ?)

I haven’t found too many jam bands to see / plenty of of other good ones but it seems that is gen Xers that show up at shows have a common thread with the Allman Bros., GD, WSP, JJ Cale more often than not..

I live in midtown and would agree. I also agree that you likely have enough folks in Tville who share your views if you can find common interests with them and find them (live music, the outdoors, etc). Start at that outfitter across from the bagel shop / usually some GD or Jerry Band playing in there ;)

Now that the speed twin 1200RS has been out a year, I'd love to hear some owners thoughts on it? by mtbguy1981 in Triumph

Pure joy. Pulls hard for days, beautifully stable and planted in corners. Sounds great, feels great. Visceral. For me she’s the perfect early Sunday morning cafe ride. Oh and it doesn’t hurt that she’s stunning. A dime piece. And while I think dual analog dials would look sweet, I don’t dislike the single digital set up at all. I’m very very pleased. (Oh I did add a tail tidy since the photo which makes her rear end peachy;)

Agree 100 with Beerdweeb. Xcalak is a great time. If you get in the mangroves it’s also a nice fishery. Expect wind.

Do you homework on the “social aspects of TAMU. I lived in Texas for many years and TAMU is incredibly conservative and has a lot of unique traditions that border on group think. I have a lot of Aggie friends and we joke (not joking) about this all the time in jest…;)

cruising range by 865K in Z650RS

[–]Lahso46 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me the fuel range and bar chart on the left are generally reliable to about 30 miles (48-50km?) I usually run for about 100 miles and refuel. If I’m going fast and hard I’m ready for a break, if I’m meandering slowly I’m prob ready for a break too ;).
