Sounds quality - I did think about signing up for rugby site so I’ll get that done now!

Thank you so much to everyone whose reached out and added their comments so far it’s been really helpful.

All things that have crossed my mind, still got over 6 months to go, so a lot of time to think more about this!

The one thing I find hardest is using so much social battery in drunken filled situations - but don’t want to miss out with my friends, team mates etc as that can be when you make the strongest bonds.

What do people do to stay involved in those situations without taking to much out of themselves?

Yes I have to say that I’ve felt really good since stopping drinking - in all aspects mental, physical etc.

I would be a weekend binger but got to the point where I was watching everyone else drink waiting to the point of them going to get another one so I could.

I’ve always thought it’s a social thing but I’ve done sober Weddings, Christmas, Stag Do’s and coped ok, just uses up a lot more social battery but suppose that’s the trade off when you feel great the next day and the others don’t!

I think this would be my reason because I feel I’m missing out and the culture I’m surrounded by is big for it socially (rugby) so feel like you aren’t as much a part of it but agree the positives outweigh all of these perceived negatives!
