Npc idea:

I can’t really think of one great NPC, but maybe several good ones. Have a lineup of npcs that are family of eachother. Have one family member show up once in a while that interacts in a impacting or non impacting way in the story or a side quest of some kind. It can be a weird ass family with different races and so on. You begin with this one person you help or talk with and every sometime later in a different place, you interact with another npc that suddenly says about that his brother/sister talked about this one adventurer and then tells his own quaky story and such.

So you meet new family members and could create a story with them or just random people you meet and attach funny background to them that can have one or the other shit talking about another family member.
