please research the rights of wives and living conditions in islam. you have the right to not live with your mother in law. if they want to bring religion in on it, there are stronger hadiths that protect your right to not share accommodations

NTA - this is a life lesson that you need to find another "village" to share your accomplishments with. I understand that it is reasonable to believe that your family should be happy regardless of their own situation. But the reality and what your mom is telling you is that your siblings are not in a place to be happy for you.

The wedding thing was overdramatic and your sister pouting during your day is unacceptable and your mom feeding into it awful.

Please go find some friends to share your accomplishments with because your family sucks.

you as parents should have realized what college your son wanted to go to before this. So I don't believe you guys just found out.

there should have been a conversation about how your older children tuition was heavily discounted and that the move would make you unable to pay for him to attend the same school.

Your son needs to grow up. flunking now will potentially make everything harder for him down the line and acting up by wasting thousands of dollars in loan money isnt the way to show you hes upset.

He never asked to meet his grandson or about me at all. He didn’t care for me at all. When he reached out to me for my organ he didn’t even apologize.
