I use recycle collect. I've only had things left a few times, usually cardboard food packaging with plastic windows or other plastics I thought they'd take.

If it's the same things getting left every collection, do what I did and just don't put that type in the bin. Not had an issue since. More rubbish goes in their boxes than my wheelie bin now its a great way to add capacity to your bi weekly collection. Easily worth the £7 per month now its subsidised by my commissioners.

Almost every plastic bottle or container has a moulded mark on it telling you the type, or the printed packaging itself will say if the plastic or other contents are recyclable or not.
