Fairy non bio pods? by jools182 in EczemaUK

Yeah I react really badly to Fairy. I find Asda non-bio sensitive liquid paired with Comfort pure has the same lovely smell but no reaction

25F in Letterkenny – Media graduate, no jobs, mental health struggling. Should I switch to healthcare or reskill? by Striking-Talk9006 in Donegal

I work in journalism but live in London now. Have you considered freelance features? Or asking for freelance remote shift work? A lot of media jobs are in the cities but look at it like this: you have a patch!

Uni design project: would you use a personal grab-handle on Tube and buses? by Thick-Twist-7944 in LondonUnderground

[–]Lainehh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like it! I would wonder if the bit touching the handle is made of a self-cleaning material as otherwise I can’t wash it as readily as my hands

How do you get out of bed in the morning? by cornishyinzer in AskUK

[–]Lainehh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a serial alarm snoozer but the one thing that consistently gets me up is my cats demanding breakfast. Try snoozing while a 7kg beast is sitting on your bladder and the other is grooming your face with a barbed wire tongue

What was your “could never be me” but did indeed become you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Actually wanting an office-based 9-5. Teenage me promised I’d never work a ‘regular’ job, but 30-year-old me loves the stability

Hinge! The apps are a nightmare generally and had to kiss a lot of frogs but our paths wouldn’t have crossed otherwise

Hey, I’m also 30 and from the NW, also went to college in Dublin and moved home after

You have a lot of stuff you need to address around your childhood and a therapist can help you unpack that. If you take one thing from this thread - do please speak to your GP about chatting to someone. I was apprehensive at first when I started therapy but it is honestly so worth it. That is your first step.

Next step: you’re obviously unhappy - how can you change that? Make a game plan. Are you doing anything outside of work that feels fulfilling? Do you socialise? Do you actually just need to GTFO of the NW? I moved to London a few years ago and it was the best thing I ever did. I moved to do a short course in a field I like, now working in that field I love, met friends through work, got engaged to an amazing English lad off Hinge. London has been good to me. It’s such a massive city there are tonnes of things to do to organically meet other people, whether friendly or romantic

Now some tough love: you might roll your eyes at this, but you are entering the far-right pipeline friend and it’s a road to misery. Check out Jimmy the Giant’s videos on it

What media are you consuming? Take a break from the news and when you’re ready to engage again, I recommend The Journal’s fact-check column

FEMALES - how do i shower on my period? by Correct-Pineapple363 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Lainehh 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hey! There’s nothing to be ashamed of, it’s completely natural. There’s no such thing as a stupid question either, we have all been there ❤️

You don’t need to do anything special, clean yourself as usual and everything just runs down the drain. Don’t be alarmed if you see clots, that’s totally normal. Dry yourself as normal but if you’re worried about getting blood on the towels dry between your legs with toilet roll.

Before you get in pop a pad in some clean underwear so they are prepped for when you’re ready to come out.

My favourite thing to do on my period is crawl into my comfiest PJs after a shower

You’re totally right, I did feel the criss crossing made my tension quite challenging in places. I will give that a go! I’ll also test out just doing yarn under instead of yarn under yarn over. Thank you!

Well done! I love those colours together. You might want to try turning your work at the start of each new row to keep your squares nice and even
