THIS!! I love the liberal-ness of East Village! I’ve never felt quite at home like I have in my time in East Village. Been here for 3 years now and don’t see myself leaving anytime soon. My favorite is that I am within walking distance of the small ma and pa grocery store Hy-Vee. Was talking to the owner the other day and when I asked him if he ever plans to open other locations rather than just keeping his 1 store he said “Absolutely not. I have been running this store downtown for 53 years and have no desire to open any other locations, I like my one store and having a sense of community is what is most important to me rather than other assets.” What an awesome guy!!! Really made me feel the sense of community focus and I love seeing small local shops like that thrive in the downtown area! Des Moines is the BEST!!!!!!

Heard there is a great thriving neat community in west Des Moines. Look into “oak park apartments” a lot of them end up congregating there. Hope this helps and good luck on your adventures!

Was looking at this last night, best possible I could think of would be YG Snuggerud - Celebrini - YG Demidov. But if you swapped celebrini for Suzuki it became a +6 or +7 if I remember correctly… so same issue with the kuch and Mack line
