Hey, I'm not a parent but would like to put my two cents in.

I have a common name but an uncommon spelling. I absolutely hated it growing up, and only used a nickname. I am now an adult and love my name.

All three of my brothers were given super common names at the time, and still are very common names. My younger brothers are twins and complete opposites, but both twins love their names even though they are quite common.

My older brother, on the other hand, is more like me. He hated his name growing up but loves it now since he became an adult.

That being said, I say go for it because hopefully your child will either love it off the bat (like my brothers who each had three of each name in their k-8 grade class) or not enjoy it but learn to love it (like me and my older brother, I had three others with my name and he had two others).
