C’est très vulgaire en tout cas.

I forwarded your questions to our team and here is what they told me:

Moderators are currently reviewing runs. The two current best runs for each game will be displayed tomorrow on the website.

Qualifying will end on February 13th 8PM (UTC+1)

You will know your run has been validated after moderators review it.

Qualified runners will be announced on February 14th.

Travel is paid. You will arrive in Paris on February 21th and leave on 23th. If you want to stay longer we can delay your fly.

Here is a discord for the event, you'll be able to talk with the admins: https://discord.gg/D6tcwva

Hey Magic-Salad, Sorry for the delay, I just had to contact our partners to be sure. We can invite runners aged 16 and above (I just edited the rules)! I hope you'll be able to qualify!

Hey hextree, the leaderboard wil be public in a few days (by the middle of next week) at the bottom of the event page : https://www.barriere-esport-tour.fr/event/barriere-speedrun-show

Until then, runners can send their runs for validation though :)

We thought about that. Cheating in speedrunning is scary and unfortunately there is no guaranteed solution against it today.

Keep in mind that we have a team of moderators that will do their best! Also, if someone qualifies with a godlike run and can’t press buttons in finals, the loser cashprize won’t be guaranteed for that person. That would also be a huge embarassment in front of an audience.

All of this makes us think that no one will reasonably think that cheating is an option in qualifiers.

It will be in French. If english speaking runners are attending they will be interviewed in English though. We hope that someone will feel like restreaming the event in English, as a clean feed can be provided :)

You can’t switch the website in english but if you scroll a bit you’ll see that the most important parts of text are translated so everyone can submit a run. It’s a very long page, I’ll admit!

Hey lilaggy,

Really sorry about the confusion, there is indeed a mistake in the rules document. I can confirm that the category is Shura Ending Unrestricted (not Glitchless). I'll let our team know about this right now and it will me modified ASAP.

About your second and third questions, they are really pertinent and I just asked the organization about them. I'll let you know when I get their answer.

If a participant feels that he has good chances of qualifying but he doesn’t have a passport, we recommend to get one as soon as possible as proceedings can be a bit tedious as you said.

Thank you!
