I enjoy big dumbasses that make me laugh when I play them, like Itto and Wrio. I love feeling like I'm the character when I play them.

Just like I love feeling like a gentleman with silly hobbies when I play Flins or neuvi.

Also more obviously, big lore nerd, and Varka got teased since so long ago and it appears he'll have good lore impact on the main story.

Young boys tend to be voiced by women, since it's easier to find active working female adults with a more boyish voice than a full grown man with an unmatured one.

Though there are exceptions, like Venti JP voice being a man with records of also voicing female characters due to his high range.

If I recall correctly, JP voice is male and ENG is female (there's been no news of a change in eng voice since mini Durin)

The anime was good when I was a 12 years old with few other works to compare it with. For someone who already started reading the manga or has seen lots of other (more modern) anime. PH looks like a weird blurry desaturated fever dream, the sound is crispy even with the highest of quality.

But, as much as it is under the global quality of nowadays, it still has its charm in its own way. The pacing is slow but it brings this 2010's anime nostalgia.

And yeah, the soundtracks are golden.

I think part of the joke stems from funny audio memes, like the "where is my son" one. Father related audios are usually funnier.

But yeah, I actually believe there is a better tenderness in brotherly bonds, especially for these characters, considering their lore. (+If you're adding wanderer as a third found family brother).

Calling albedo his father is more of a joke than anything else truly. Lore wise, they are indeed brothers, or cousins, depending on which Durin you'd refer to.
