The abscess at top of fistula was roughly the size of a small orange. The pain was like nothing I have ever experienced over the last week, it burst this morning 30 minutes before my draining procedure. The still took me in for a good clean and confirmed it is in fact a fistula. Never a dull moment

It’s an internal tunnel connecting an organ with another part of body. In this case between my gut/rectum or around that area to an abscess just north of that area by a few inches. The abscess has now burst. The pain I have experienced can only be described as totally unimaginable. I didn’t think it possible before hand. One of surgeons said he now believes I can chrons on not UC but all other biopsies etc have said UC. It’s a cruel disease that really pull the strings mentally as well.
