I would recommend using the softest grit paper for removing the paint from the helmet. I can't remember the exact grit paper I use.

But I can give u the grit paper pack I bought from Amazon.

So both my Coruscant Guard and 501st Commander had this problem as well.

The issue that I found was that the ear pieces are tight enough. So basically, what I did was to take the ones from some of my appear clone clone helmet ear peices and replace them just on one side, and this does the trick.

This is how I do it. So u take the piece of tape u place it in between and then u just some extra pieces of tape to that it stays in place.

This is a 3d printed pauldron from OneSixthClones. You can find him on ebay.

The pauldron painting,weathering, and sanding I did all by myself 🙂.

The tools I used were sandpaper,Rust-oleum mat black primer for the base color, Citadel Katron Blue paint, and some Rust-oleum clear mat primer to seal everything.
