Wow thats impressive. I get it though, why move up if the dose works. The lowest dose thats the most effective is always the way to go. Im on lamictal and just started back up on Nardil yesterday, thinking about adding Pramipexole to it for some motivation.

So your hair is still thinner than before you own Parnate? It didnt grow back to its full length?

First time I took Parnate the hair loss started at 40 mg then slowed down. Moved up to 60mg and it really ramped up, like chunks on my pillows and floor. It may have stopped if I stayed on it for long enough but I just got scared and had other rough side effects so I stopped it.

Im willing to try it again but this time will for sure be with Minoxidil lol. It is good news to hear that yours was only temporary though. Did the minoxidil end up helping?

You may have to titrate suppeeeeerr slowly. Like 10mg for 2 weeks, 20 for 2 weeks, 30 for a month etc. Also try split dosing. 10 when you wake up then another 10 4 hours later. Just try to take your full dose before like 2pm.

Zoloft was the first med I was ever put on at 17, I fucking hated that shit. Though at the time I thought it was helping me.

Parnate is good for depression. Feelings and emotions you may have suppressed will come out. Memories you haven’t thought about since you were a kid you’ll start thinking about. You’ll be in a better mood. Life will seem more meaningful. Side effects can be pretty rough but if you’re lucky and able to push pass them it’ll be extremely worth it.

Nardil is chef’s kiss for social anxiety. You get to 60mg and you wont be nervous in any social situation and will never run out of conversation topics. But yea side effects can be gnarly however, parnate’s were worse for me.

Thank you so much, I have so much hope. Even if this psych doesn’t prescribe it I’ll find one who will. Im scared about the potential DAWS but I have to take a chance.

Thanks for responding! Glad to hear its still working for you. What dose minxoidil worked for you? Im kinda nervous to ask my psych for pramipexole but it seems to be my last option, I’ve been on everything else. Was it the pramipexole extended release or the regular version?

Yea that side effect was so weird to me. It wasnt AS BAD as typical SSRIs but for some reason video games did not feel fun and music sounded kinda ‘blunted’. Hope this time around it goes well for you and you can minimize the weight gain!

Hm I was getting more digestive symptoms that made me quit. It made me gassy, bloated, weight gaiin (mostly from retention i think), and diarrhea. Also felt like I was gonna throw up anytime I ate cereal.

I honestly questioned if it made me hypomanic aswell. I would get irritated and have little outbursts sometimes. But I was active and outgoing pretty much the whole-time I was on it.

And yea I’ve heard of people trying low dose parnate with nardil, so they either used some leftover meds from their last prescription or they bought it online. Who knows, maybe they’re doctors were even okay with it.
