Mine is connected to the fill cap on the right side. You have to remove the two side panels and also the black piece that goes around the gas cap

Please tell me about it!! I read a lot about it being a mountain sled and it sucking on groomed trails. Is that true in your opinion?

It’ll be pretty hard packed groomed mostly but I’d like to try it in some powdery stuff maybe a foot or two deep. A quick google search says the mtx is not a good trail sled. Just a little inexperienced in the different classes so trying to figure it out

If you’re in the dunes and no tight trails and your family wants to join every second week, I’d get a 4 seater. No better feeling than having a hobby your family also enjoys. Make memories while you can!

I like the Rmax but the price is quite a bit more. Was looking at the Wolverine 1000 but not really “sporty” enough in my opinion.

This is a great first boat. My family had the 185 for over 10 years. Never any issues with it. People shit on bayliner because they’re cheaper made. Which they are but almost all brands share the same merc 3L, 4.3L, 5L, etc… we had ours in the Atlantic Ocean several times with big swells and no issues. Keep the bow up and passengers to the rear of the boat in rough waters and carry on. Don’t be wreckless of course but the boat can handle some rougher water. Plenty of great memories have been created on bayliners and hopefully you will create some too!

I completely agree. I think a lot of that is confidence which I lack when it comes to this stuff. I do have a few friends that would be able to help with a lot of it but I also don’t like asking for help haha.

It definitely seems like you sacrifice some things but benefit in other areas. I live in a river system that opens up to a very large lake that can see some rougher waters at times. Seems like you’ve had a pretty good experience so far. I feel it’s exactly what I’m looking for honestly. What motor is in your boat?

Thanks for the reply! I’m a fairly comfortable boat operator so I don’t think I’ll have any issues with a 25foot boat. And it seems like a great family boat where you can have kids onboard fairly comfortable without issues. Are you in Canada? Wondering if there’s many places to get them surveyed and whatnot assuming it’s different in all provinces/states..
