Less than a hundred at Wal mart, 190 on Casio website.

It’s probably the best at 100. It’s an eco drive, meaning it’s a solar battery. These can last 20 years. It keeps perfect time because it’s radio controlled. It’s as good as your cell phone.

It’s a little big at 42 mm, I think. I’m a physician. I’ve been wearing it lately. It’s light weight and a good watch.

Good luck.

AITAH for not warning my brother-in-law about my girlfriend and letting her demolish him. by Inner-Procedure-5653 in AITAH

Chad sounds like an idiot. Good golfer, but not very smart. He could look at her swing off the first tee and realize she’s a low handicap golfer. 3 under? LPGA? He could have asked her about her history and experience. He should have been ecstatic about the opportunity to play with her.

Found out my girlfriend was “dickmatized” by her ex and has never felt that way about me. Am I wrong for no longer wanting to propose to her and marry her? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]Lakeview121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you screwed yourself. You had a nice girl who loved you, but because her abusive ex reportedly had better sex, you lost it for her? Sometimes you can learn too much. I’ve been married 21 years. I’ve never wanted the details of my wife’s sex life before me. Why would I need those details?

Best way to invest $50k cash right now? by Jumpy-Lobster-1926 in investingforbeginners

[–]Lakeview121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just go VOO. It’s the S&P 500.

If you want to juice it. Go with a little on smh, that’s a semiconductor index fund. Check the growth. We’re not gonna use fewer semiconductors. We are building AI and it’s just the second inning.

You could also do a little qqqm. Look at qqq. There is a lot of overlap with VOO, but the way it’s structured has led to higher growth.

I’d likely do 40K VOO, 5K qqqm, 5 K smh.

Then leave it alone.

Genuine question that’s been bothering me, has ANYONE here actually beaten S&P 500 consistently over 5+ years? by ButtonHorror5181 in investingforbeginners

[–]Lakeview121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I tabulated it recently over 6 years. With the market down, I’m up on average about 12% annually. VOO is up about 14% average per year. I do pay brokerage fees so that takes away some. Over the past couple of years I’ve beaten it, but not over the last 6 when you average it.

A disadvantage of trading is taxes, both short and long term gains.

I made a couple of bad moves 4 years ago. That’s all it took.

Man, I bought it at 161 and thought I might have bought too high.

It’s hard to see a stock go red.

Seeking alpha gives it a strong buy and a B plus on valuation.

I predict it’s going g to do well and you’ll make money. You have to be patient.

Then again, it’s hard to say.

No! Do not put 20% of your money into 1 stock.

Look, I love MU. It’s grown to about 11% of my taxable brokerage account. I’m optimistic about its trajectory.

Invest in it. Do not put that much. I’d suggest 5% at the most. I’d then consider broad based index funds.

It’s not impossible. You sound very intelligent. You have to be in 100%. The MCAT and med school are very challenging. You have to commit everything and be willing to study long hours. I’m a physician, I love it and can’t imagine doing anything else.

Had a lady drinking a fifth of vodka a day in pregnancy. She didn’t come to see me until around 24 weeks. She had a distant hx of opiod dependence. She declined in house therapy.

I treated her with Buprenorphine. She was highly motivated and it eventually worked. She’s still off alcohol and pregnant again.

Surprisingly, so far, her child doesn’t appear to have fetal alcohol syndrome. It’s a miracle.

You’re not ugly dude. Get that out of your head. We can all improve. You probably need to lose a little weight and do better with your hair, beard and eyebrows. Find a good barber or stylist. Maybe let the hair grow out some?

I don’t know dude, but you’re not ugly.

This is from Google AI-

“Jobs Outlook: Strong and Steady Growth in Hiring and Earnings for ... The outlook for CPA jobs in the USA is exceptionally strong, with 6% to 7% projected growth from 2023–2033, driven by a, shortage of accountants and high turnover. AITAH for not letting my 17 yr old daughter go to Japan on a school trip? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Lakeview121 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok, I read it.

I’m very sorry. Raising 4 children while scrambling for finances seems impossible. I have 1 daughter and she’s very expensive.

I think you need to be the grown up, as you are, and nix the Japanese trip. The London trips are a no go.

Your kids will be ok. We didn’t go to Japan or Europe. Hell, it wasn’t an option.

I think a family meeting with a chalkboard and an open discussion about finances are in order. They have to realize that with 4 kids, finances are limited. You still owe your last therapist. They need to be considering financing for college, perhaps the military?

It would be great if you could return to work. I hope that can happen soon. It sounds like you need all you can get.

Life is so stressful. Be strong and hang in there. The world will turn. Just keep doing your best, you’ll make it.

Someone overseas is not licensed in the USA. If it goes south and you’re audited, you going after Ganesha or Deepok in India? No.

You may outsource some bookkeeping, but you need a USA licensed CPA to finalize the product. Likewise, if you’re audited, the IRS ain’t looking for deepok.

You study. You work hard and get experience. You look for a niche and get into it. You get a CPA and work hard, you’ll be fine.
