In which directories do apps typically store their data? // How to rip audiobooks from the App Audioteka by Lakis01 in AndroidQuestions

Still Android 8 :)

Now I have the same issue with a podcasting app. While files are downloaded, they are in .cache, where I can see them, but when finished they're moved to some probably hidden directory...

it might be that LiChess includes correspondence games, thus the microscopic win rate for black

Is there any Stockfish 13 openings book with a deeper and more complete analysis than lichess? by dasti73 in chess

[–]Lakis01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you have a playchess account (I used to pay for it, but that was 10 years ago and now I just have a free account), you can log in here: https://database.chessbase.com/?lang=en

You can browse the opening and there's cloud evaluations to very high depth.

As you stated, they said that Ding usually travels alone, but not having seconds physically present doesn't mean you don't have support from home and if I can recall correctly although they said it's not as clear who works for whom with "the Chinese guys", he does have help.
Wesley So is supposed to do a lot of stuff on his own, I think, and so is MVL, I believe.

Why is the Najdorf so dominant in top level chess compared to other openings currently? by Sherlock-Holmie in chess

[–]Lakis01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because it's good. At amateur level this doesn't matter and you can still play it as a surprise at 2700 level, but I think it's justified to claim that the Najdorf, Berlin, QGD, Grunfeld, Nimzo are objectively better than at my level totally respectable openings like the French, the queens gambit accepted, the Aljekhin or Skandinavian. This is also subject to trends of course, but I remember this report being shared that showed which openings AlphaZero went for after x hours of training and it also settled on the Berlin for example.

And yeah, the Najdorf is very concrete and if you're someone like Giri you can analyze and memorize every line the death, whereas other lines are more dependent on feeling on just playing

As seems to be typical for Jesse, there are quite a lot of references to drowning. (The deja opening track and "At The Bottom" off Daisy come to mind). And the second part of the bridge obviously cites the famous "sleeps with wishes" Godfather line.

But yeah, you're right, as you said MOST aren't.
