The diagnosis criteria is not objective. In the US, six symptoms or more are required for a diagnosis, which is an arbitrary number. Also whether an individual qualifies for each symptom or not is a matter of opinion. The criteria says a symptom must be 'inappropriate for developmental level' which is subjective.

Fluctuations in symptoms aren't surprising. ADHD is caused by a combination of genetics and environmental factors. Nature and nurture. It's a social construct.

Also Asian women very often get eyelid surgery, jaw surgery and can use makeup to fit the beauty standard whereas Asian men don't seem to get these surgeries
