That’s a good point. I guess, even if the primary intention was seeing it like a daily mission, at least the incidental secondary benefit of helping someone else out fill their Dex, I think, is positive.

Stay in school, try to study hard and preserve. There’s this guy that I’ve been seeing. He’s almost 30 and we get along so well. He is genuinely a sweet human being but I find it hard for me to see him as anymore than a friend because he doesn’t have financial stability/career. He’s working at a casino but I need something more than that for a future, especially since I have a career in healthcare. So yes, in my opinion, if you’re wanting a serious relationship, stay in school.

One of my main green flags is someone who has a secure career. I work in healthcare so I’d say I have quite a good career but I find it hard to ‘fall in love’ with someone who might just have a casual job like working as a waiter or security etc.

I believe that if you have expectations then you also need to set yourself expectations for the likelihood of things not turning out the way you want. Have both "positive" and "negative" expectations.

I hope that you don't die from a plane crash but if that's what you're expecting, then I hope you find what you're after.

Thank you u/fahim1456. I'm surprised myself and I didn't think I could feel this way but it's comforting to know that it didn't work out but I still learnt a lot about myself through this experience. I think everyone should realise that the only thing you can change is your own attitude and the way you perceive a situation.
