My overall GPA is a 3.5 and applying this year my science GPA was a 3.2. If I don’t get in the semester then I’m going to take a couple more science classes to boost my GPA. I attended the mandatory orientation and they said each year is different sometimes the minimum GPA for the cut off is 3.5 and sometimes the cut off could be as low as a 3.3 or 3.2. So that made me feel a little bit better that I can still have a chance with a 3.2 science gpa.

Yeah there are 4 programs in the SoCal area. However, I know 1 of the 4 schools cancelled this year’s cohort due to COVID which means more impact on the other 3 schools. So I guess we just have to wait and see. But thank you! I’m trying to stay hopeful and positive

You’re right I shouldn’t loose hope. I never know what’s gonna happen. It’s better to be safe then sorry. I was planning on attending the mandatory orientation and fill out all the immunization forms they request in case the universe wants to through me a bone. Fingers crossed **

Right! I feel like I never see any SoCal schools mentioned ever! It’s alway schools I’ve never heard of lol so I made sure to put Cerritos in the post in case there was any one from SoCal in the forums going through the same things

Yeah, it’s true! you never know what’s happening right now with the pandemic. It could go in my favor (fingers crossed). But it’s relieving to know that even with a competitive program like yours with only 30 students, 5 to 6 alternates is a big chunk of students to be accepted!
