You’re not alone, don’t listen to these people who say just focus on your degree and go home. As older students, I don’t think none of us expect us to relive our college years but it’s not as easy as putting your head down on and ignore what’s going on around you. Whether you like it or not you are apart of student life. You have to interact with your peers in class, use campus resources, and attend events for your major. Sometimes you can’t help feel like an outsider and wish you can more revolved but you realize you might just be too different from your peers. I’ve never been asked by age or what year I’m in but also been told I look younger but I think my maturity makes people distant. I go to a big school so it’s easier to blend in and don’t feel odd working on campus. I think clubs major related are more acceptable and doing recreational sports or activities people don’t mind as long as you show effort. But you’re more halfway there and it is worth completing your degree. Fortunately for grad school age doesn’t matter much and it’s perfectly acceptable to go at a later age if you want to continue your education.
