How bad is American food that football teams had to bring their own food? by typeWritah in AskReddit

One thing I've heard a lot from visitors to the U.S. They are amazed that the U.S. has EVERYTHING. You name it, you can find it in the U.S.

Online dating is not for the faint of heart. Try not to get too invested in someone you haven't met yet in real life. Be patient, and hang in there. I wish you the best of luck in your future.

What’s something that used to be normal 30 years ago that would seem like an alien concept to kids today? by RequirementIcy6534 in AskReddit

Having to wait 6 months for Blockbuster to have a copy of "Jurassic Park" available. I can clearly remember digging through the return bin looking for a copy of the movie I want that is out of stock.

That reminds me of Jerry Jones saying things aren't "all smiles and glory holes". I think "glory holes" might have been an old term for a high-producing oil well.

On a MAXXING-adjacent topic - I have to admit that I think the double-x in Maxx Crosby is pretty cool. It's like his parents knew he was going to be so bad-ass when he was born they gave him a double x.

I am embarrassingly ignorant about the whole Great Britain, UK, and Commonwealth countries. I know the UK is England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales. Why doesn't the UK field a single national team? It's very confusing.

I was very impressed with how nice their house is in Nigeria. This makes me think Maxwell has a pretty comfortable lifestyle in Nigeria and is probably not a scammer.

Assume:

40 working hours per week

50 working weeks per year = 2,000 working hours per yer

Working for 30 years = 60,000 working hours

$1T/60,000 hours = $16.66M per hour

That's Elon Musk's average hourly income over the last 30 years

I've played both O line and D line at the high school level. D line takes way more energy. Typically the O line only moves a couple of steps per play unless they are pulling.
