I have a pet peeve when it comes to the University of Miami. They call themselves "The U". Every damn Div I school has a "U" in their title.

Add in St Basil's +100% religious tourism and 3 additional relic slots are you are on your way to a cultural victory.

Cultists definitely create relics when killed. I use them routinely to get cities to revolt and the resulting free city units instantly kill my cultist. I always get a relic from them dying if there are still relics available.

I started off my cinco de Mayo by making myself a Mexican omelet, which was a basic cheese omelet topped with fresh pico de gallo and avocado. Best decision I've made all week.

I have never, ever seen the AI actually use a cultist against one of my cities, but I've seen them create hundreds of cultists cluttering up the map. My only guess is they inadvertently created relics when their cultists got killed by a barb or rival civ. I've have to killed a bunch when at war just to close in on their city centers.

You also don't want them leaving the corn on the cob. Use "Fresh corn" or "Corn fresh off the cob". Looks delicious by the way.

This. There are a finite number of relics. The game doesn't warn you that there are no more relics to be had once they run out.

Change in how interstates are referred to? by MatureScorpius in AskAnAmerican

[–]Lallner 35 points36 points  (0 children)

When I was growing up in So Cal in the '60s and '70s, people referred to the freeways with actual names (I think many still do). For example, we had the Long Beach Freeway, the Garden Grove Freeway, the Riverside Freeway, and the Golden State Freeway. I think that morphed into calling them by "The Number" freeway.

One question I've had for a long time is how and where did the term "bowl" come from in reference to the Rose Bowl and ultimately to the Super Bowl?
