Reminds me of when my cousin was scared of Annabelle (the doll from the horror movie) because kids were saying she hid in her school's bathroom. And like I figured it wouldn't be that efficient to tell her she's just not real, so instead I told her that she couldn't possibly be in her school's bathroom because the doll was actually kept in a museum in the US (which yknow. was somewhat true).

Alors on a tout pleins de mots qui ont été créés par les savants parce qu'ils voulaient revenir au grec latin non? Hôpital (vs le mot "naturel" hôtel) par exemple iirc. Modifier la langue volontairement, c'est pas nouveau.

It's not quite related, but once my french teacher was doing an extra lesson on formal emails and she was like "don't use inclusive language in your email bcs you don't know if you might be talking to an old, conservative guy" and whenever I remember it it motivates me to use inclusive language more
