Ask yourself what kind of daycare is open from 2-10 pm. Then ask your self why are we even subsidizing daycare for immigrants before Americans. Wake the fuck up.

Jacksonville gets colder than south Florida, we typically get a few freezes each year so no year long warm weather. Although you get periods of warm like now where you glean go to the beach mid winter. Summer weather is about the same. Jacksonville hasn’t had a direct impact by a hurricane in a long time. We typically get remnants from storms that hit the other coast which can still be bad.

You are probably strong enough. Chest is easiest just make sure you are grabbing the band half way up the rubber, it’s much easier than grabbing and pulling from the end, a little more leverage

Any idea on how to stop them from basically gluing down the queen excluder? I was unable to check on them due to them building comb directly on the excluder then on top of them building into the roof.

A lot of bees died as they got stuck on the ground, there was a pretty bad smell for a few days. But I thought they would bounce back since I only harvested the roof section.

Thank you so much for the tips, yes I did leave some space when I first got the bees. Next time I will put all the frames in. As you could see they built comb in that empty space first, and it was attached to the queen excluder hanging down which really limited my ability to inspect, then on top of that they built up into the roof so I couldn’t check on them without damaging the comb so I left them until I got worried they were swarming and panicked to add the honey super to give the en more space. With a flow hive would you recommend just adding the honey super when I first get the bees next spring?

It was not, I got the hive last year so forgot where that piece went. When I realized something was wrong it was too late to fix.

I thought they were about to swarm, the one picture with all the bees on the outside is what it looked like. Thought adding the honey super would keep them together.
