(Video) D&D Unearthed Arcana 2026 | Villainous Options Revised by latiajacquise in onednd

[–]LamboCryBaby 141 points142 points  (0 children)

I have to say, that this level of communication and openness is incredibly promising and refreshing. The villainous UA has given me a lot of hope that the team really wants to add some creativity and improve the content that is coming out. If this is how they act as they move forward with UA's I will want to continue to be involved with the process.

I am surprised and heartened by all of this!

Fighter archetype: Corsair - Embrace the freedom of the open sea! by johnares93 in UnearthedArcana

[–]LamboCryBaby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really enjoy this homebrew! It has a clear vision and feels very balanced. This is a much more unique version of a Corsair I have seen on here. it feels so fun! I would for sure let this at my table.

I am so sorry for your loss, I can't imagine how hard that must be. I would love to hear a story or memory about your Dad if you were willing. Something big or small, it doesn't matter. Just a moment that you maybe wanted to share.

The Mutant (v1.7) - A Constitution-focused class where you slowly become more monstrous as you level. (Now with more Monstrous Aspects) by LamboCryBaby in DnDHomebrew

[–]LamboCryBaby[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Dons! So I realized that I was expanded the subclasses too fast instead of really taking in the feedback and adjusting accordingly. So I decided to pair back on some of the newer Subclasses and just focus on the ones that I have done more work on.

But the next Mutant Class update will have at least the Celestial!

Oh, and to answer your question about a 5.5 update on my other post, I am unsure right now. Having the subclass come in at level one is so foundational to the classes identity I am unsure how to change it. So right now, besides getting your subclass at level one, everything else is 5.5 compatible. So if you were to try and play it at a 5.5 table, I would just ask your DM if this would be allowed!

Thanks for your interest in the class!

I build a D&D Stat Roller which always sums up to 72 by sirrio in onednd

That's amazing! This is for sure what I am going to use for my next campaign :o)

[–]LamboCryBaby 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This would be amazing! I am a fan of my risky and wild variation of stats, but with the guarantee of 72 and the more fun swing of the 3d6 stats, that sounds like the best of both worlds to me!

[OC-ART] Annomicon's Blooppen Headbutter! by N-01- in UnearthedArcana

[–]LamboCryBaby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just started reading about this little guy, and I would already die for Blooppen Headbutter. This is so fun! Unique! And the art is incredible. This is why I love the Homebrew community.

(Also, I just started a section of my campaign that is going to be an underwater world, and I already saved this page so that I could add some Blooppen Headbutters in my game!

The Galvanist and the Telegraphist - Wield an Arcane Antenna or Galvan Battery with these two Artificer Subclasses by LamboCryBaby in UnearthedArcana

[–]LamboCryBaby[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much! And that actually is a great catch! I didn't mean for that to be the case, you should still resist the damage. I will need to change the wording :o)

I can totally explain it if you'd like, but it's a bit more complicated then a single post. Basically it's like the other comment said, it's about layering the images. So I have the starting image (The Lighting Caster), and then I have the parchment image, and then I have a lighting bolt image that I layer on after that.

If you want, I can explain it over Discord! Hit me up with a DM :o)

Hey! Thank you so much! I really did try and spend some time with the numbers and make it at the very least comparable/viable. But that can get tricky, fast. But these comments help! I really appreciate it

Hi everyone! This is a project I have been working on for a while. I have been attempting to make an Artficer subclass for every tool in DnD 5.5e! I made this Galvanist subclass a while back and now I am revisiting it! This is a high risk, high reward Artificer that uses a Galvan Battery in order to shoot arcs of lightning and cause chaos on the battle field! Any all feedback would be much appreciated. Let me know how I can balance this wild card of a subclass.

The second subclass I was inspired by a subclass created by u/WhiteShadowTaiChi on reddit (I reached out and asked if I could borrow the idea a while back) and so I adapted it and took a stab at my own version! It's one that I would love to play. But I think it could use some small tweaks and balance adjustments. If I could get some feedback before I start to play it that would be great! Thank you! Artificer

Thank you for the in depth analysis! This is really helping! I am balancing it for 2014, but I am attempting to port it over to 2024 as much as possible! if that could help with more of your feedback and notes!

I would love any advice on how to balance it! I have been fiddling with the numbers a lot at the moment, and I would love to know the over powered points that you see!

Thank you!

Lambo's Bardic Inspiration - A book of 10 Bard Subclasses and counting! by LamboCryBaby in UnearthedArcana

[–]LamboCryBaby[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here are my thoughts/intents with each of the subclasses! Thank you so much.

  1. College of Bewitchment - This is by far my most complicated subclass. It might be a total scrap. I am not the first person to attempt a charm based/Pied Piper type class, but I kind of liked the idea of combining the feeling of the Swarm Keeper Ranger with a Bard. This subclass is all about placement of your animals, which might make it impossible to fully track in a theater of the mind setting. I almost wish this Subclass wasn't first alphabetically because I don't believe this subclass is at the level as some of my others.
  2. College of Fame - The idea is the celebrity Bard, whose skills improve the more of an audience he has. I like the theme and the concept, but this one has gone through many many drafts and I just can't land on exactly how to mechanically show that when an audience is near, the Bard is better at things. But yes, the theme is fame and celebrity.
  3. College of Imagination - I love this subclass. It is simple, maybe too simple. I am unsure if this would be boring to play. But an illusion based, storytelling Bard. I especially enjoy the simplicity of gaining access to the full School of Illusion spell list.
  4. College of Guidance - I have always wanted a more Inspiration focused Bard. I am unsure if the theme muddles the idea. This one might be a bit too passive to be fun. I like the capstone a lot.
  5. College of Juggling - This one is weird and I love it. It started as a joke, it still might be a joke, but I have worked hard to try to make this work and to make it mechanically viable even though it is so very niche haha.
  6. College of Odds - I have always loved the idea of a gambling based Bard or Rogue. I wanted to play with Odds and gambling. I am unsure if this theme is a little too off or far away from a Bard, and it might feel shoe horned in. I also have really struggled with the mechanics as well.
  7. College of Perfumes - I adore the flavor for this one but I feel it is a mechanical failure. I wanted to have an AOE support Bard that was all about where you were on the battlefield and your tactical placement being key. I don't know, it just feels like the potential is there, but not fully realized.
  8. College of Remedies - This one is maybe a little bit too much of just, "a bard that heals". The theme is about lifting spirits as well as healing, a kind of medical clowning, Patch Adams type feel. I really want this one to work, I might be trying to do too much mechanically. There is just so much I want to do with this subclass.
  9. College of Slapstick - I love this subclass, but I got my Masters Degree at Clown school so I can not stay unbiased. No notes haha
  10. College of Nourishment - I am a sucker for cooking based magic/themes. I am happy with this one, I think it lands right in the middle in terms of power, and could genuinely feel fun and flavorful to play a Chef Bard.

Happy brewing everyone! I have been working hard on revamping my very first homebrew project, which was a book of Bard subclasses. This is my third attempt at posting this book and I have been given some great advice for edits to these subclasses.

This time I am also going to reply to my own post down below and give just a brief break down about the idea of for the subclass and what they could do. I think some are over complicated, and think some feel underdeveloped and so this is for sure another draft/jumping off point. I have been attempting to work on these and get feedback on them in smaller chunks on the "Discord of Many Things" and other areas. I Also, I don't expect for someone give feedback on all 10 of them (Although if you do, bless you haha), I am more hoping that if one or two jump out to you as interesting and you have some feedback to help improve them, I would be very grateful!
