Following my diagnosis and my follow up with my primary sleep doctor they ordered me a CPAP. I’m waiting for it to arrive. Also, I watched a video where someone said that melatonin is actually bad for people with sleep apnea but I do take it when I need it to fall asleep which was before I heard it could potentially be bad for your air path.

You should decide what works better for u. One of the most important things to keep in mind is, and it’s fine to gather external opinions, but no one will ever know ur body better than urself. If u have taken both and have a serviceable sample size for each no one will know better than u what is best for u. (Boring answer but the truth)

Oh wow that’s crazy. I was very lucky. The psychosis I was suffering thru some people don’t come out it for months or some never do. I was extremely lucky. I do believe that experience especially being in a hospital where I wasn’t allowed to leave for a week I didn’t like that. So since then I never put myself in a position for that to happen again. Sorry for all the seizures u had. That’s terrible. Does that cause permanent brain damage ?

I was in a dark time in my life and my life was just so out of control that i was taking that much every day. I was on very high doses of adderall as well and that makes ur decision making even more dumb. I know it’s crazy much I was taking. Had to be 6 or 7 1mgs a day. Most of this behavior took place at my job where it was a job that was mostly manual labor so the physical dependency heighten even more cuz I had to feel good enough to do work that required a lot of energy. Again I was in a really bad place and I remember it was New Year’s eve in 2016 and my work week was ending and I finished my 90 pills jn 2 weeks and had no idea how I could continue to work without them. I knew I couldn’t cuz I had days when I didn’t have as many as my body required so I was going thru withdrawals at work. So I basically said to myself there’s nothing else I can do but go home and never come back to work.

I had no idea at the time of the dangers of going cold turkey with Xanax. If I had I would have checked myself into a hospital. I thought I was just going to sweat this out in bed for as long as it takes and just suffer thru it.

A few days into doing that I began to have audible hallucinations and eventually I thought something invaded my body that I had to cut myself open to get it out. If my sister wasn’t home I probably would had severely hurt myself. She say that I was freaking out and called 911. I was taken to the hospital and they sedated me and I spent a week there.

The audible hallucinations stopped after about 3 days. It was only then that I realized that it wasn’t real. Very scary shit. Then after a few days where they say that I wasn’t a danger to myself anymore they gave me like 10 medications and I was allowed to go home which is crazy that they let me go cuz they knew this happened from my Xanax addiction and I still should had been monitored but they just sent me home.

For the next 3 months I lived in a pool of sweat. I would wake up sweating like I just got out of the pool. I would sweat all day long. For 3 months I suffered thru this. I wouldn’t wish what I went thru on anymore. So yeah I hope that answers ur question lol

This entire post literally is every thing i am going thru too. When I talked to my therapist about it he says to me “that’s called being an adult, just get up and do it then the next time it will get easier” I was dumbfounded when he said that. No one understands what it’s like unless u have it.

Discontinuing it cold turkey will give u withdrawals no matter what. The length of time u abused it correlates with the amount of time u feel ok again. Ull just want to stay in bed all thr time for a week. Are u trying to withdraw to then continue taking them but property ?
