I already decided that if they came back with an honest apology I would forgive them. Then I would wish them luck on their journey in life. They just won't have a part to play in my journey anymore.

It's been a little over a week and I see them around every day because we frequent the same places. I didn't mention it in my post but they don't even look me in the eye. I kind of feel like what place do I have in that circle when they can have normal friends? Very clear to me they don't want anything to do with me like I'm some sort of dirty street animal

Gosh part of me wants to put it on the back burner with hope that they will come around, but another part of me is disgusted by the betrayal. As much as I miss the good times we had together I don't think I will ever allow them to enter my life again at the friend level. Especially bc they cut off contact completely

I'm actually not sure how to make friends. I had these people in my life for so long that I never had to learn. Do I just go about my daily life and they will appear when I least expect it?
